Jay.P 2,336
Yes, as long as the music is good. But not as long as the break before ARTPOP  Do you hear that? It's poison.
Hexxx 2,244
That would make her seem weak in the eyes of the gp comparing her to other female artists. Me personally? I wouldn't care just as long as the music is good Lady Gaga/ Madonna/Lana /Azealia Banks/ Jazmine Sullivan/ DEEE-LITE/ Moko
PopBitch 1,218
She's touring. There won't be an album this year, one year after ARTPOP dropped. She can afford a long break as far as not coming back with an album until the end of next year She's still a big name and there would be a lot of hype when it comes out. I doubt she will do that and will come back with an album the first quarter of next year. It is the smart thing to do with all the new musical acts crowding the market. But she can do it either way and it will sell as long as it's a great album.
Paper Gangsta 6,693
Anyone saying yes is delusional Of course. Gaga is one of those rare popstars with actual longevity and talent *gasp* so its not going to magically up and leave her 2 years down the track . She's just living to much in her own bubble, with all the constant touring and travelling. If she were to take a few years off and really figure out a new game plan and get some of her old drive and ambition back she would literally be unstoppable again. She's only 27 for gods sake. I mean Madonna didn't even release her most monumental works until her 30's and she was always taking big breaks between albums.Do you realize how much BTW to ARTPOP break hurted her? Yves 1,891
NO. it's the very worst thing she can possibly do. she needs to keep releasing singles to keep herself on the radar. True. She needs a brief break. Like 3-5 months.

Saint Laurent 4,862
Unless she went into hiding, like complete hiding with no social media, no candids, there's absolutely no point in taking a break. Besides, I think that the Space gig is the most perfect opportunity to launch () a new era, such a huge platform upon which to build an era.
degenerate 526
You seem to be the only non-dramatic person who's commented on this thread so far! Y'all just looking at it from a fan Pov. Y'all are ****ing thirsty so you act like if she doesn't give you something soon she'll fall of the face of the earth. Mess . And how are you gonna compare a GLOBAL superstar to Charli, Iggy and Ariana? :deadbana: they are no where near Gaga's level of success. They are popular in the US sure but really... Iggy is gonna fade away like all the other wanna-be-legend-rappers (coming from someone who likes her music rn), Ariana is a nickelodeon girl. She's going nowhere. She's already fading. That "Yours Truly" album was her debut and no one really cared besides young fangirls. And Charli... Omg don't even start. How will they forget her so soon? You can't forget someone who is ALWAYS in the maganizes, internet critique blogs and TV (for good or bad reasons). You don't forget someone who wore ****ing meat. MEAT. You don't forget Lady Gaga. Y'all are a bunch of Little Drama Queens. Gaga can afford a break. And 2015 isn't too far from now. They won't forget the lady who's had the biggest impact on pop culture since late 2000's in 6-8 months. Stop. Being. Drama. Queens. Stop. Being. Thirsty. Stop. Being. Over. The. Top. Get. ****ing. Real. And The make or break? Right, 'cause you know Gaga is the first artist to go through a rough era. Psh it's not like Madonna, Britney, Katy (who's peak doesn't even ****ing TOUCh Gaga's) and all other major acts. There's my tea for the day everyone . Born To Slay 10,996
The album ARTPOP purely SCREAMS "I actually give a fÃ…ck of what critics and fans say, so I will respond with an album filled with songs answering to them. Applause, DWUW, IWBWU, G.U.Y., Perez-stalking-twitter fiasco, etc)". The whole era was a response to the previous era's feedback. A big no-no if you ask me. I want her to return to the Born this Way era mentality, where she went full political without giving a flying fÃ…ck. Immigration politics, Gay Politics, Drug decriminalization politics etc, deep inside an avantguard pop album. Basically, I want a Born This Way version 2.0, on lyrical steroids. I would be here for that
LaLuna 12,732
You guys act like Gaga was universally loved, which was never the case. She has always been polarizing. And if you are "embarrassed" to like Gaga, then quit looking to others for validation. You can never be embarrassed if your validation simply comes from internal sources. You like Gaga because you like Gaga. If other people don't get it, it's their loss, not yours. Bless this flaw-free post
HaveAnOysterBBy 796
tbh i feel like the break/blackout after btw was the worst thing for her... she was gone for way to long. another break especially after the mess of this era would make the comeback way worse
Girrr 1,086
I think timing is the least important factor she should focus on if she wants success. She really has to take notes from Katy's team.
LilVenusian 579
"And talent." Mariah Carey and Christina Aguilera says hi Firstly Xtina barely even wrote most of her career-defining hits (i.e Beatiful). Sure she has a great voice, but she really dosen't have any knowledge about how to craft timeless pop songs. Thats why she has fallen so far behind in the pop scene cause she was pretty much chasing trends her whole career and relying on her big voice instead of honing her own individual artistry and craft. Secondly, Mariah is obviously in a slump right now, but she still has a huge legacy behind her. The fact that she is still releasing music almost 25 years into her career and is maintaining somewhat of an audience is pretty brilliant in itself. Sure she dosent have a big presence in the current pop scene but she hasn't really got much left to prove, in the same way that Prince and Madonna dont have anything left to prove... Ladey Gagz 2,512
I think she should do an album and release singles and then take a break. A break after the next album would be good imo
LilVenusian 579
Anyone saying yes is delusional Do you realize how much BTW to ARTPOP break hurted her? Not really. Applause and the album still had pretty decent hype. How everything was handled after the album was released, however, was pretty questionable. A few years off would probably be smart, seeing as how the current pop scene is heading into pretty boring territory. It would give the gp a reason to miss her. She's overexposed imo, releasing 4 albums over the span of 5-6 years is pretty intense for a pop artist...
