For instance, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTFb7TS-EGk 0:53 she says he first met her on the set of the video and how he kissed her and blah blah blah. So they definitley didn't meet in San Diego for the first time. However, Gypsy is definitely about Taylor, there is no question on that. She said many times that they both are gypsies in life, at the artRave she mentioned Taylor's name when performing Gypsy a couple of times and so on.
