ChasingGhosts 726
I remember getting it just as a casual fan and the night I heard it is when I became a proper monster and my life started turning around for the better. A few years before I was diagnosed with manic depression + social anxiety and the songs gave me courage and happiness when I couldn't find it in myself. I love you Born This Way Born This Way > Joanne > The Fame Monster > The Fame > ARTPOP
Omegahedron 165
Maybe not in the way that it touched others, but this album really changed my life. It helped me through a really tough period and through to the other side. It's like a sonic hand that lifts you up.
Mills 446
The hype since the moment she sang the chorus of the title track at the VMAs upon accepting the Video of the Year award was plain unbelievable. It's as though everything was perfectly planned and well executed in terms of enticing everyone to hear the follow-up record of TFM. And did she deliver? YES. BTW remains as her best album yet, lyrically and production-wise. The lead single was an instant empowerment anthem. Judas was a production and lyrical masterpiece. The Edge of Glory screams as a classic love ode. Bloody Mary, Scheisse, Americano were gems which I wished the entire world has heard of. But if there's one thing I love the most about this album, it's the fact that it has led Gaga to give her biggest socio-political contribution to the world yet - the Born This Way Foundation and her campaign for social equality.
