DMTT 160 Posted May 19, 2014 Share Posted May 19, 2014 with BTW's three year anniversary coming up in a couple days, i think that's enough time to look back at the album without much of a bias. complaints it has always gotten are that it: (a) is incoherent/messy/all-over-the-place thematically; (b) is overproduced; and © contains highs and lows, there's no consistency like there is on TFM. so, how would you fix BTW? what i would do is get rid of any deluxe edition (too long), and do the following with the songs: 01. Marry The Night - leave it 02. Born This Way - leave it, but the lyrics suck, so i would re-write it if i were being really picky 03. Government Hooker - same as BTW 04. Judas - leave it (screw the controversy!), but not release it as a single 05. Americano - same as BTW 06. Hair - get rid of it (the lyrics are truly horrendous, she'd have to re-write the entire song) 07. Scheisse - leave it 08. Bloody Mary - leave it 09. Black Jesus Amen Fashion - such a stupid title, not catchy enough to keep it 10. Bad Kids - another really catchy song ruined by bad, bad, bad lyrics 11. Fashion Of His Love - not the worst track, but not strong enough to leave it on 12. Highway Unicorn (Road To Love) - do i have to say any more? obviously get rid of it 13. Heavy Metal Lover - leave it--awesome track 14. Electric Chapel - besides making one last stronger chorus, leave it completely! 15. The Queen - cheesy, but this would be the only cheesy song on my album 16. You And I - absolutely leave it 17. The Edge Of Glory - absolutely leave it so my tracklist would be: 01. Marry The Night 02. Born This Way 03. Government Hooker 04. Judas 05. Americano 06. Scheisse 07. Bloody Mary 08. Heavy Metal Lover 09. Electric Chapel 10. The Queen 11. You And I 12. The Edge Of Glory getting rid of the seven really bad songs and doing some of the re-writes i mentioned would make BTW a really catchy, strong, cohesive, and consistent album :) Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

More songs = more music, regardless of whether or not you personally like it.
