Ladey Gagz 2,512
Just because she didn't tweeted "**** you Dubai, I was born this way" doesn't mean she didn't try and do something about it. Also let's not forget that she's probably under contract, she can't fully do what she wants. We should be happy they let her do her thing with the tour in the non-censoring parts of the world. But really I agree with mostly what people in this thread posted.
TimisaMonster 31,073
Gaga's very hypocritical with almost everything she does these days...not surprised...makes it that much harder to take anything she says seriously! Emvee 8,348
Good question. Seems to contradict her "morals" etc. Maybe for the money? She'll be earning a lot off this date. Talk about expecting the worst out of somebody
8Bit Heart 66
Talk about expecting the worst out of somebody From a business standpoint, she'll earn $15-$20 million off this date. Even if she doesn't want her to do it, her management would.
drinkmytears 2,332
She did change her show in Korea though...
Smooth Criminal 2
I'd rather see Gaga conform to their rules and not deprive her middle eastern fans the opportunity to see her for the first time in 6 years. It would incredibly sad if Gaga doesn't agree to their demands and cancels the date.  Do you know how the fans would feel? They are the only ones who would suffer from such a thing. Gaga will be on her way to another date to collect her millions & perform for fans in an another country, while the fans in Middle East, will once again get the short end of the stick.  So NO, Gaga does not need to be inconsiderate & unmindful of her fans sentiments.

Yes, but you should know that's not the only reason. Dubai is uncharted territory. As a touring artist, it's important to break into new regions. And to be honest, no matter how backward it may seem, censoring her show IS out of respect for Muslim culture. BTW and ARTPOP are totally different messages. She's not being hypocritical or contradicting her morals by putting more clothes on. Now, if she censors BTW the song, we have a different story. And who gets the short end of the stick?  What a totally thoughtless thing to say.

I didn't deny ANY of that, lol. Just saying that (at the very least for the executives) money is the primary reason.

TimisaMonster 31,073
Interesting.  "Simple" & "Factual" in what capacity exactly?  Gaga is hypocritical and the statement was clear on it's intention...you added implications that weren't even there. In other words, you were reading WAY to deep into my post. Stream my new single, 💜"Heartbeat"💜, on Spotify!
Nemo 4,291
Why would you believe this article though? Wait until the show happens, then we can talk about whether it was censored or not.
Smooth Criminal 2
Gaga is hypocritical  That's not a fact, that's your opinion. There's a difference.   and the statement was clear on it's intention...you added implications that weren't even there. In other words, you were reading WAY to deep into my post.  The "added implications" that you speak of, stem from your statement which implies that Gaga would be a hypocrite if she is to perform at a place which doesn't allow her to put on her show the way she intends to.  In response to that, I asked you three, totally plausible & compelling questions.  And No, I didn't have to read too "deep" into your comment to discern your intent.
