Disregard

Rob Sheffield is a Britney stan who said Circus and Femme Fatale were in the same league as Blackout. Enough said.

Let me repeat: The title is almost certainly written by someone else, not Rob Sheffield. (No, I don't know who.) That's kind of standard. I think the title should be withdrawn, and RS should apologize for it (and fire whoever wrote it). Minus the title, the review itself is misguided but, IMHO, doesn't really descend to the level of being unprofessional.

EXACTLY.  That's the only reason.  She different.  Nothing to do with her music, outfits, or tours.  She won't be their Barbie.

And I think Gaga is also mad ala SXSW, "pop culture is my b---h", "green and horses are the thing now", etc. She's less vocal about it but Gaga is really mad. Last yeat, she converted that energy into wearing weird costumes, doing weird faces, doing weird performances, just to confuse the audience and the industry. Now, she's converting that energy into the tour.

inb4 s-x keeps her going :emma:

My main complaint with the review was that he labeled her album 'ARTPOP' instead of 'ARTPOP'  :derpga: .

Little professionalism in my opinion too, but reviewers will never get everyone to agree with their opinion no matter what it's about. Gaga will go on to tour and he will possibly go onto review sh*t until that publication inevitably goes under.

No secret that this journalist lacks maturity and intellect but don't take it to heart.

Meh, don't take it to heart. The tour has gotten positive reviews from most publications. This obvious click-bait review shouldn't even be taken seriously.

Robert is probably just an angry Britney stan. :rip:

He's entitled to his opinion but I agree it was written in a crass, unprofessional way. He seems to have become a lot snarkier over the last few years. I used to respect him a lot more.

Sadly, perhaps even Rolling Stone has decided to take the desperate-for-revenue road of writing click-bait articles. Just look at the comments. An article that gets people coming back to it over and over again to continue arguing with others in the comments section is a profitable article.

Im blonde, I'm skinny, I'm rich, and I'm a little bit of a bitch.

As a Britney Stan, I'd agree that Femme Fatale

Your post doesn't seem any more professional or mature :awkney:

He's ranting, not writing for a major publisher being paid to give an un biased view.

Why would us Britney Stan's be angry? Britney's Piece Of Me is just as good as Artrave and the album was almost as good as ARTPOP

That's why Gaga is not playing the game, and I'm proud of her, And that's why I don't really care about what these reviews will say because I know there will be negative stuff in them.  Gaga is playing a different game with them, that's why they're mad.

This, exactly.  I am so proud of her for not playing their game.

I live outside the space time continuum.

Same answer:

Some writers can't move on and see the thing that's happening now. A lot of other articles said positive reviews. I've been in journalism for years and sometimes I find this kind of person. Stuck in attention-seeking mode like Perez. Sad, actually.

I don't think it will get a perfect score, at most 4.5. But in my opinion it's 3.5 and I kind of agree with his rating for Bey's album.

Beyoncé newest album is one of the best out there tbh

There is absolutely no one in the game right now that matches her or even comes close to quality of music and performing abilities.

Even if it's not your kind of music, you have to admit the woman is pure talent, more so than any living performer (dare I say ever!)

Yeah, him putting BJ up there with Beyonce is just :fail: ...and this is from someone who likes Britney, but even I know that ain't right.

I'm sure there are some behind the scene politics..  I'm a country music fan and there's a ton in that genre.  Sometimes you have to play the game in this industry to stay safe from these things.

Hmm, interesting. I'd like to hear more.
