I understand the hate for Beth, but not for Daryl. He's a fan favorite, in fact that's one of main reasons he's still around. He's like one the show's top anit-heroes.He's s-xy lol and has shown great character progression throughout the series. He used be like Merle but has evolved  and become a better person than Merle ever could be.

Daryl actually a good example of what happens when ignorant people become educated imo.

My issue with Daryl is that his popularity is a curse. At first he was likeable for being the vulgar redneck with a kind heart and fractured soul, and as time's gone on he's become the Superman of the show, saving everyone's lives and blowing up tanks and never having any real flaws or making any mistakes… And it's because he's so popular that the writers are seemingly afraid to take risks with him and risk putting his legion of fans offside. He's literally been written to be as likeable and popular as possible, and he's suffered in character quality because of it.

I loved Daryl up until season 3, when he had shockingly little development for having so much screen time. IMO he's become stagnant, predictable and boring. One of the good things about the second half of the season is that Daryl appears to be reverting back into the character that he once was, troubled and broken, vulnerable and capable of being hurt, as well as hurting others. The line he gave to Beth a couple of episodes ago - "Faith didn't do much for your father." That's the kind of line Daryl would never have had in season 3 or early 4, because it makes him seem like a bit of a dick… but it's a line consistent with the Daryl that we all fell in love with in season 1 and 2.

I'm so disappointed that we never got this Andrea. Sniper Andrea is the ****ing best:

She was getting there! In season 2, she used the rifle (though she ended up shooting Daryl by mistake), but for some reason they thought it'd be a good idea to take her in a completely uncharacteristic direction and kill her. :wtf:  :emo:

I can't with this show sometimes. Andrea is my favorite from the comics and what they did is almost unforgivable

I know, they completely robbed us with their adaptation of Andrea. :emo:

She could have easily been one of the best characters and a fan favourite if they hadn't put her in Woodbury and randomly changed her from a strong willed fighter to a vulnerable, gullible woman who was so easily manipulated. Season 1/2 Andrea would have seen through him instantly.

That really should have been the point that she realised he wasn't a good guy. I always thought she should have escaped with Daryl or something.

Apparently the original ending for season 3 (the ending that was never shot, not the one where Andrea never had the pliers), had Tyreese discovering her Andrea locked up in the Governor's torture chamber, and they escape with Sasha and the Woodbury citizens and arrive at the prison.

Daryl turned into Gaga. Those damn fans with the "Kill Daryl, we riot" may have turned people off (or at least for a few people I know). I like Daryl for his shift from ignorance and solo way of thinking and became a group player. I would like to see him die and how his fans would react. Edited by MegaMiles

They sound have a week off for the Oscars. I love The Walking Dead, but it's the Oscars. Nobody is going to be watching and it's ratings will probably be abysmal today.

About halfway through and this episode is "meh."

There's some great scenes between Daryl and Beth though. I'm liking the return to the insecure Daryl who doesn't know how to cope with his feelings. Hell, I'm even impressed by Beth in this episode. It's turning out a lot better than I thought.

Pretty boring episode but not surprising since they're competing with the Oscars.

I couldn't help but think "DONATELLA" when that dead body had the "rich b---h" sign on it. :smh:

I've changed my mind. Upgraded from "meh" to "solid."

It would have been better if they'd cut a couple of scenes (although a LOT of it was important) and gave some screen time to Maggie's group though.
