Clearly she doesn't believe the stories to be true. She may be oblivious to the stories about Terry but she also said that she didn't believe the stories about R.Kelly but yet December came, the video was stalled and then swept under the carpet and Christina appeared on the track. She couldn't have got rid of Do What U Want and R.Kelly any quicker tbh. I honestly believe still to this day that it wasn't because she didn't like the video and she didn't have enough time, I believe it was because the stories of R.Kelly appeared again, she maybe began to believe them and she had to try and quickly detach herself from him. That whole DWUW era seemed so sketchy and shrouded in mystery in my eyes. 

 

Maybe this will happen with Terry Richardson one day, she may stand by him now but soon she might try and disassociate herself with him because she realizes that by working with these people who have negative articles wrote about them she is also dragging her own name through the mud. Who knows why she stands by Terry Richardson if all these stories about him are true?

This is such a good, thought-provoking topic.

 

I try very hard to not be a "Yes-man" kind of stan, i realize shes capable of mistakes and I think either -- she knows more behind the scenes stuff about Terry than we do (which is certainly possible) or maybe she is oblivious to the truth and is being Naive.

 

It doesn't change my opinion about her or her moral standings, its just an observation. I honestly do think she distanced herself from R. Kelly after the allegations came back up in December, (though not liking the video could be part of it too.. Maybe she didn't like it because she grew to dislike R.Kelly and saw him for who he really was and didn't want to be reminded of her falling for his tricks everytime she saw it so she gave up on it)

 

I honestly believe Gaga is very VERY against these things... Swine is such a powerful song and i do find it a bit hard to believe that she associates with Terry, because he has a bad reputation for allegedly doing such things. But maybe she gives him the benefit of the doubt because hes such a good friend?

 

Anyway, if its all true, i doubt Gaga knows it.

I agree with you 200% I wish she'd stop working with Terry more than anything. He's proven himself to view beautiful women and models as s-xual objects, and that he views s-x as a bargaining chip. I don't see how Gaga can put herself on a moral pedestal and preach about not compromising your morals and standing up for what you believe in and yet continue working with people who represent the exact opposite of that. 

 

I guess they're just really good friends, and Gaga doesn't want to end their friendship based on how he allegedly treats other women in the industry. Obviously Terry hasn't made Gaga herself feel s-xually intimidated or given her unwanted advances. Maybe Terry respects her and doesn't proposition her, maybe they have fun s-x all the time. Who knows? They're clearly close friends though. You can be friends with people who have done questionable things to others.

If I'm buying a cake from a past criminal, alleged or otherwise, I'm buying it because they're a damn good baker, their criminal record doesn't change that nor does that mean I somehow endorse whatever they did.

 

If they faced justice and then were a reformed criminall thats one thing to buy the cake...if you know hes a rapist and has never faced the consequences...I doubt you'd go to that bakery and if you would, then you are equally as reprehensible.

I'm not acting out anything. I've provided you with legitimate journalism and my thoughts on the allegations against him. The evidence along with the allegations is too damning to simply be brushed aside, which is why many of us are concerned. What Terry's done may not be considered rape, but is s-xual abuse and harrassment not bad enough for you? Would Terry have had to actually rape these women to draw your concern? That's just sad.

 

Oh and if you do a simple google serach on your own of R. Kelly, you'll see that he is in fact a rapist. Those he assaulted weren't women, they were underage girls.

Obviously you have a good point. Enforcing stereotypes is never good - this is why jury selection and other court processes are so important. Unfortunately it's something that we can't fully have control with.

 

However, considering the fact that many models have confirmed that Terry prefers to be called "Uncle Terry", it's safe to say he wants to be perceived in this manner - but maybe just not publically at this point for the sake of his career. I wouldn't dwell on this with Terry because he certainly embraces his creepy appearance in his photos as well.
