I barely felt a thing :-) for the second pair that is, first pair the anaesthetic didn't take properly but I didn't wanna bother my dentist (and couldn't say much anyway X-D) you're supposed to notify your dentist though X-D I'm just an idiot for not doing that. And mine were even cut/drilled/broken out prematurely because insurance would stop covering it after my 18th birthday (my own choice, didn't wanna pay for it later) so it doesn't HAVE to be painful, hope you're one of the lucky ones! I know the recovery is supposed to be only a few days but there is always a chance that any type of surgery can lead to an infection which would make recovery a lot longer. Even with an infection she'd be well clear of the tour :-) it doesn't take THAT much longer unless you get a serious infection (which is unlikely with a good dentist and proper care) and neglect to treat it.
