Mike Pence on Thursday signed a bill that bars women from seeking an abortion because the child will be born with a disability, a controversial restriction that is one of the tightest abortion laws in the country. "HEA 1337 will ensure the dignified final treatment of the unborn and prohibits abortions that are based only on the unborn child's sex, race, color, national origin, ancestry, or disability, including Down syndrome," he said in a statement. "Some of my most precious moments as Governor have been with families of children with disabilities, especially those raising children with Down syndrome." Indiana Right to Life, an anti-abortion group in the state, saluted Pence for forbidding women to discriminate against "the unborn." "We are pleased that our state values life no matter an individual's potential disability, gender or race," Mike Fichter, the organization's president, said in a statement. Same place you can also not serve people food if they're gay (I dont know if that's still a thing here or not) but I want out of here. Like now, I'm so sick of people telling me what I can and can't do with my body. Like **** off stay out of me, government. Illinois in general is more liberal, but we have our bigot areas as well. I think because we have such a huge city, that its hard for the whole state to be conservative. But Illinois is so BORING and we're in so much debt, its not even funny. Like literally the state is flat out broke. There's never anything exciting going on in the Midwest outside of a few areas, and there are so many backwards views as you've pointed out. I'm just over it lol. Michigan is DRY and broke, Indiana is a mess, Illinois is a disaster, and the other ones are either okay or even worse lol.
