There are countless threads about her going rock. You guys, as always, are just setting yourselves up for disappointment and meltdowns. I have never heard her talk about making a rock album, yet everyone is expecting one. And I have no idea why. Some of you seem to forget that she's a pop star at the end of the day. There are far better chances of the next album being pop and rock.Did I miss an interview or something?No, she isn't a popstar. She is an artist before anything else. She has called herself an artist who happens to be a popstar. She had cited numerous times her rock inspirations such as Bowie, Freddie Mercury, Linda Perry, Joan Jett, Kiss, and countless others. An artist is allowed to explore anything they want, if Lady Gaga wants to explore rock, Monsters should be open to it, not always locking her down to pop. Lady Gaga has never said she will do pop forever, there are many things she wants to explore, but it's the staunch pop fans who shoot down anything that isnt pop, so Gaga become torn by it. There is more to life and music than silly pop. She has always said rock music and metal influence her immensly. Both Born This Way and songs like Bad Romance were rock influenced. I'm fine with her going rock, the problem isn't monsters not accepting her going rock. The problem is monsters EXPECTING her to go rock. She hasn't said anything about going rock, yet so many are saying that LG5 will be rock. It's fine if she wants to go rock, but people are getting really excited for something that isn't even going to happen for sure. She said that she likes to take the elements that inspire her and MAKE THEM COMMERCIAL, incorporate them into pop music. But you seem to have missed that sis. She is a pop artist / jazz singer since she was 13 and hopefully that's all she ever will be. It doesn't make sense.If you went to McDonalds all the time because you loved their food, and suddenly they changed up their menu and they no longer served what you love, you wouldn't really like it. Gaga adores rock and metal culture and music, there's no way she won't make at least one album. They say it's the last song. They don't know us, you see. It's only the last song if we let it be. And those who criticize monsters who only care about the charts seem to only care about expander her fanbase, which is pretty similar. Wanting her to do pop music isn't "only caring about the charts", it's the type of music that drew the big majority of her fans towards her, and if pop fans like pop music far more than other genres, it's only normal.
