Lady Gaga may be a fashion icon, but don't expect her to come out with her own clothing line — the 29-year-old superstar told the New York Post that she respects fashion designers too much to ever try to be one.
"The thing is, at the end of the day, I have a real respect for fashion designers," Gaga told The Post at her friend Brandon Maxwell's show on Tuesday. "And it's the reason I don't have my own line and the reason I never will. If I ever do anything in fashion, it will always just be as a muse or as an aesthetic, creative. I like to be a part of helping artists find themselves and feel good about who they are."
She added: "I would never for a second claim to be proficient in fashion design [just] because I know good looks."
Just a day after stealing the show at the 58th Grammy Awards, Lady Gaga flew to New York City to support her friend and stylist Brandon Maxwell. Gaga sat front row wearing an all-black outfit and watched Brandon debut his new collection, which the singer called "perfect."

"He flew to L.A. to be at the Grammys with me, then back to New York for his show," Gaga wrote on her Instagram page. "A true talent with determination, well made classic timeless pieces that will never go out of style. I felt so elegant and comfortable in this jumpsuit and your show was unstoppably chic."
Lady Gaga is also set to attend her former stylist Nicola Formichetti's show in New York City later today.
