I don’t even like Madonna but yes she will always be relevant simply for being MADONNA. There is no doubt that she is a legend. also just cuz someone ages doesn’t mean they still can’t make art82 points

It’s incredible how this absurd demand for moral perfection is systematically and exclusively placed on female artists. Men have to say something truly terrible or universally reprehensible to face even a fraction of the backlash that female artists endure on a daily basis over the most trivial comments. People have been looking for a reason to cancel Rosalía for quite some time now, and until recently, she’s been dodging it quite well.38 points

Madonna has drafted in a star-studded cast for the huge video which will launch her comeback. Kate Moss and film stars Gwendoline Christie and Benedict Cumberbatch were all recruited. Alongside the big-name cameos, her crew shot a car crash, wild warehouse rave and a massive dance scene, with extras suspended from the ceiling on wires. Madonna, hired the entire studio and shot across six stages, with a hundreds-strong crew. “She had her own trailer which was heated at 28C at all times. “Fans can expect to see it in the coming weeks.” https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/38471976/madonna-celebs-epic-comeback-video/33 points

I'm not sure how it can get bigger than MAYHEM tbh A no.1 hit song (DWAS) and album, the gag that was Abracadabra, an iconic Coachella set, a record-breaking 2.5 million attendance in Copacabana, 3x Grammys, 1x Emmy, 4x VMAS, a surprise Super Bowl appearance, numerous television performances and interviews, her highest grossing tour yet...these are some major feats that are hard (not entirely impossible) to replicate. And we still have The Devil Wears Prada cameo and song, MAYHEM: Requiem and the Mayhem Ball concert film to look forward to. This era is truly for the history books. It's her best since Born This Way imo.27 points

Jack White has said that the idea of writing songs about public breakups “in the Taylor Swift way” is not “interesting at all” to him. The “Seven Nation Army” musician was asked about the use of autobiographical details in his own songwriting when he made reference to Taylor Swift, whose romantic relationships have inspired a raft of songs throughout her career. Swift is widely believed to have written songs about her relationships with exes – including musicians Joe Jonas and Matty Healy, and actor Joe Alwyn. More recently, her songwriting has been informed by her ongoing relationship with her fiancé, NFL player Travis Kelce. “Are any of your songs entirely autobiographical?” White was asked, in a new interview with The Guardian. “Not too much,” The White Stripes frontman replied. “Now it’s become very popular in the Taylor Swift way of pop singers writing about all of their publicly aired break-ups, which I don’t find interesting at all. I think it’s a little bit boring for me to write about myself. “Even if I’ve had a really interesting day, I feel like I’ve already lived that, I don’t need to go through it every time I sing this song,” he continued. “If it’s something really painful, I’m not going to put this important, painful thing that I went through out there for some idiot on the internet to stomp all over.” White explained that he puts “a percentage” of his personal experience into his own songwriting, so he can then “morph it into somebody else’s character”. “I can’t really learn about myself until I put it into somebody else’s shoes,” he added. https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/music/news/jack-white-taylor-swift-breakup-songs-b2934565.html21 points

Or she just does what she loves. She'll always be relevant through the art of all the pop stars she inspired and influenced, and that includes Gaga.21 points

Honestly, it’s part of the reason why I love that she tends to tell her stories in a more fantastical way because it prevents the songs from being stuck in a specific moment in time and, even if they are personal, a lot of her songs can be recontextualized because of that.20 points

Daniel Radcliffe’s getting real about child stardom, saying therapy for young actors shouldn’t just be encouraged, it should be mandatory ... and there's a heartbreaking reason why he believes that. The 'Harry Potter' star says he knows he got lucky starting out so young, but he remembers one child actor in particular who later took his own life, believing he had no right to complain because the world thought he had it all ... fame, money, and success. Speaking on Bustle’s "One Nightstand With Daniel Radcliffe," he said that illusion -- that child actors are living the dream -- can be crushing behind the scenes, which is exactly why therapy should be built into the system. https://www.tmz.com/2026/03/10/daniel-radcliffe-demands-therapy-for-child-stars/18 points

The decaf dance-pop on Harry Styles’ fourth album is just unremarkable. Even songs about the emptiness of pop stardom succumb to tasteful restraint. https://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/harry-styles-kiss-all-the-time-disco-occasionally/17 points
