The new foldable iphone ( Iphone duo) have been shipped but the initial reviews are not looking good. First of all, apps are looking horrible (which is rare for apple) because of the "D" shape which wasn't the smartest design choice But most surprising is how fragile they seem to be considering how new they are. Like it just dropped and there's already reports of damage?. With how much these things cost I'd expect it to be as durable as Samsungs folds There's also a weight distribution issue. With general consensus being the phone is too heavy. Also the crease issue that this phone was marketed to solve has not been solved, in fact it looks much worst outdoors and display suffers

F**k, as if this week can't get any harder. I really hoped she would get better in time for me on November 1st but literal vocal tears is as bad as it gets. Tour was so close to finishing too. I had plans to go with my friend who was going to travel to be here and be staying with me afterwards and this will be the last time we're seeing each other this year. Yeah, she could well come back at bigger and better venues next year and the whole album will be out by then but still...I was so ready for this. I've only ever had one tour date cancelled in my entire life - I knew law of averages would say this had to happen eventually.

We can thank HER for Gaga's vocal techniques because had XTINA not gotten to the level she did, her voice coach wouldn't have ever been a choice for Gaga. I do NOT understand how anyone, besides the people who weren't there, could try and downplay Christina Aguilera's impact. And if you WEREN'T there you REALLY should do your research. She was such an icon, and ALSO to go "Back To Basics" when dance and hiphop was at the top of the charts and like BODY that era like that. Everything for a season … but, I think I only consciously associate The Fame Monster with like, the late nocturne of winter … the first time I went to Monster Ball 1.0 was like, late December back to back, and then in January at Radio City … but that entire rising action was so deep in the winter trenches, just locked into whatever I was working on at the time … and then in January, the Radio City show anchored this massive catalytic shift … I ended up on a job interview in Manhattan while I was in town for the show, one thing led to another and I ended up moving to New York for the gig in the Spring … then a few months later Monster 2.0 kicked off, so when I saw the first night at MSG, and then the second night for the HBO filming, it was a bit of a full circle moment from the theatre show … but like the in like a lion, out like a lamb feel of the winter thaw into early Spring And then being in New York during the whole BTW lead-in and launch was unreal … an absolute blur … but that felt more late Spring / Summer swelter … I remember the launch party at Angel Orensanz, a friend texted me the day of and was just like “whatever you‘re doing tonight, you‘re not—I got tickets to the BTW launch party and you‘re my plus one …” so BTW feels a lot like that seasonal energy Joanne reminds me of the holidays because I played that album for my mom‘s betta when I was home for Christmas the year it was released … he wasn‘t doing so well, so I just moved him from the living room to my room, and played the album for him when I was around … and my mom said he just caught a second wind (second fin? second tide?) and pushed through the holidays on a swimmer‘s prayer … but, so, yeah, Joanne should remind me of the Angeles autumn, but it feels more like a sort of Christmas revival … In retrospect, none of these anecdotals might not make a modicum of seasonal sense, but, it is what it is … fun question all the same

The first one isn’t album cover worthy at all from a graphic design standpoint and the second one is from an interlude for the tour months after the album came out. The album cover was pretty iconic and simple. There wasn’t really any other images from that era that suited it tbh.

honestly ---- I'm a gaga fan first and an archivist second. If she truly wanted to this i'd respect the vision. I know she'd counteract by having at least 1 recording made for posterity / history / fans who cannot go who are either disabled, can't travel, etc. There is also more than one way to document a show. I used to sit at this website for hours upon hours after a gaga show and type my experiences. Documenting with a phone saves the night in different ways but it's how you do it. I recently shot 60+ gigabytes of UHD Gaga at the Forum and UHD King Princess at the Wiltern, all by holding the phone steadily out of "eye shot" of others and still aimed at the stage for maximum visuals. There are ways to do it ethically. I dont make a sound, I pay off drunks around me to shhhhuushh, and I generally dont bother anyone, if someone bothers me I move. there are just mindful and ethical steps to take to get best of both worlds. I want: historic shows preserved for all who either were there or couldn't be there (the higher altruistic concept of The World) They want: to have fun, and they become part of the documented experience (but I mitigate the noise they make for maximum capture of why we are all here: the artist) The trick is to thread the needle with both sides satisfied

Unfortunately, despite having a lot on my mind, I’m currently short on ideas for a new project. I’m glad you appreciate my work and thank you to everyone who reads this. Sometimes I look back at these remixes and feel a sense of satisfaction that I was able to share something I truly wanted to create

I get it to a degree, but I think recordings of tours being published online actually has HELPED sell tickets. Like how many people here got excited to see any of her past tours BECAUSE of the videos? Or used to stay up to see people post pictures and images from things like The Born This Way Ball back in the day? I think they play their part. But I also did hate when I was at artRAVE and it was just a sea of phones and I didn’t use mine once and was jumping and dancing whilst everyone was just…stood recording. So maybe ban them from the GA floor but allow them in the seats.

I think also Gaga is one of the only artists from her generation that gets actively credited and talked about by this gen’s artists like Chappell, Sam Smith, Cardi B even. She’s also credited as the reason dance music became so big in the early 2010s. Without her, the dance music renaissance (that is still happening) wouldn’t have happened.
