  1. It is early 2011. The world is perched waiting for what the weird-yet-cool 24 year old pop girl - famous for her quirky style, catchy dance tracks, eye-popping videos, meat dress etc - will shock the world with next …… In that one peak moment she had the world in the palm of her hand, with as many ears and eyes as possible… and how did she decide to use her huge platform … A bold, explosive hard-harding unapologetic, unconventional track crashes down to Earth from planet Gaga GOAT - don’t be a drag just be a Queen - gay, lesbian, transgender - God. Makes. No. Mistakes - she went full in - it was risky, brave, polarizing, she knew she would lose some ‘market share’ and sacrifice broad appeal to some extent … but it was the RIGHT thing to do in her eyes… above all it preached LOVE. Love for ourselves and each other. it changed lives and shaped culture to what we know today. it remains a pop culture landmark ….. a gateway to infuse this message into all her music going forward …. There will never be another Born This Way - not from anyone else, or even Gaga herself - this unique beacon of hope was lit, …and let us all hope for all humanity’s sake for a future where it can continue as well as spark and grow more compassion in the souls of our increasingly complex, and scary, world. 💀💓…. the world needed this. And she delivered. ahhh want a time 🥹

  4. When she was at the peak of her career and on the minds and lips of every human on earth... she went against everybody's advice and dared to release a track boldly standing for the rights of the LGBTQ+ community. With her full chest she put it out there in a time where talking about these communities and supporting them openly was risking her career and could've been career suicide. I'm not going to lie, I'm a little disappointed that the world has forgotten how brave it was to do this back in 2011. Remember gay marriage was still illegal in most of the world then. Brands didn't throw up a performative rainbow logo every June, they avoided any association with the community like the plague as it was considered a risk to their business to associate with the queers. Gaga threw the first brick and stood by her decision unwaveringly, and every time she was challenged she doubled down. THIS is why she means to much to the LGBTQIA+ community. The world forgets.. but those of us who were in the trenches fighting for our rights and our lives back then remember how much she did and what it meant to us

  5. A song that perfectly captures the pain, tumult, and dissonance of heartbreak and disillusionment at an identity level iktr. IMO part of what’s so brilliant about Disease and PI is that they’re both (to differing extents) anti pop songs: angular, dissonant, building tension but never releasing etc. Gaga’s ability to do that is a part of what makes her such a gifted writer, imo. You have to know the rules incredibly well in order to break them, bend them, make people purposefully uncomfortable etc. I live for Miss Gar using the form (and the concept) of a pop song to create the visceral sense of gnawing at the bars of your enclosure. Also creating a pop song about feeling disillusioned with your public persona that’s also musically antagonistic towards being a conventional pop song is just deliciously meta. For anyone who’s interested, here’s a great podcast from two musicologists breaking down the structure of the song and tying it to other common musical motifs in Gaga’s catalogue:

  6. For me, the Copacabana show represents the epitome of the MAYHEM era, and I would even argue that it is the greatest performance of all time by Lady Gaga. There’s something incredibly captivating about the entire show. I find her so confident in the way she performs each song, engages with the theatrics, and interacts with the audience throughout. It's just perfectly executed. I know the first show took place at Coachella during Weekend 1, where she didn't interact much with the crowd, which is understandable for an opening performance. In the second weekend, I still have PTSD from the first act when the sound cut out, haha! The Copacabana show is not just a concert; it’s a celebration of Gaga as an artist and what she’s capable of achieving. I’m so obsessed with the show that I listen to the audio version religiously instead of anything else!

  13. It was really ahead of it's time, the song was everything Thanks to BTW I'm proudly singing "I'm ugly in my way cause god makes some mistakes" and it's so empowering and freeing, I feel like I don't need to work much to be beautiful. Bt I'm actually a hot middle eastern hairy geek so yeah, don't be a drug just be a weed I guess

  15. Hi it's me, River I'm asking because it happened to me a few times: 1. Judas - it came at the worst moment because I had a crush on a guy and his name was Juda it was so painful to sing "I'm in love with Judas" but to know that the bitch rejected me. but looking back, I'm glad because I found my hot Italian husband later 2. Gypsy - it came out exactly when I left my country and moved to Europe with my hot Italian husband, so the lyrics hits hard every single time, because I miss my family so much, I don't miss "my country" but I miss my home, even though I created one here. "so I just packed my bagged and, said goodbye to family and friends" But I got the chance to see the world, by age of 33 I lived in 3 continents (Asia, Europe and America), and 4 countries and visited many places around the world. That's it, I think it's nice and unpredictable that things like that happens, makes u feel strongly connected to music very personally.. I wanted to add Vanish, but it's too painful (my mom and stuff)

  16. Some users have been fueling false narratives about gagas participation or lack thereof in some of her collaborative songs, even going as far as dubbing her as more of a "feature" on these songs. In reality this couldn't be further from the truth. It sad that these cheap lies have been peddled by some of our very own compatriots. Using propaganda to further their twisted goal of spreading hate and bringing disrepute and public degradation of these credible members of Gaga's discography is an atrocity and it is imperative that we stand against this evil. DEBUNKING THE LIES Exhibit A is gotten from a thread titled ; Hold my hand outstreams sour candy Which is a slay the way. On thread we witness what can only be described as the most horrid display of malicious falsehood and fabrication between two of our comrades. Good sis @Ladle Ghoulash opens todays pit of lies, making this slight remark about our very own Smash with a smile. This lie that has spread among certain corners of this fandom and I'd like it to be put to rest once and for all. Just because bruno opens die with with smile and had a longer verse doesnt diminish gagas presence or ownership of the song From this line distribution, we can see that even though bruno is more present in the song with 58%, gaga isnt too far behind with 41%. In my opinion, this is very respectable and actually makes sense considering how the song originated from him. Then good sis @PartySick decides to an fuel to the fire. Celebrating the downfall of sour candy and further dragging DAWS down with it stating; Appalling i know From this line distribution How can gaga be a "feature" on a song where she almosy has more line than the entire blackpink Say no to misinformation, say no to propaganda, say no to hate speech.

  24. Welcome to the Megarate Ceremony of Gaga's Videography! Lady Gaga’s music videography is a visual chronicle of transformation, ambition, and boundary-pushing art. Since her debut in 2008, Gaga has consistently used the music video not just as promotion but as a core element of her storytelling, fusing fashion, surrealism, narrative, and symbolism. Her early videos like Just Dance, Poker Face, and LoveGame were colorful, dance-heavy, and introduced her as a bold new figure in pop. But it was Paparazzi and Bad Romance that elevated her to a visual icon, both videos combining gothic aesthetics with dark commentary on fame and power. Telephone, her 2010 collaboration with Beyoncé, played out like a short film—gloriously absurd, cinematic, and rebellious. The Born This Way era brought myth, religion, and personal liberation into the mix. Gaga transformed herself in nearly every video—from giving birth to a new race in Born This Way, to channeling Mary Magdalene in Judas, to exploring hybrid identities in You and I. These works became more conceptual, pushing boundaries of gender and genre. In the Artpop and Joanne eras, Gaga oscillated between maximalism and minimalism. G.U.Y. was a surreal 11-minute epic filmed at Hearst Castle with mythological allusions and Real Housewives cameos, while Million Reasons and Perfect Illusion stripped everything down to raw emotional performance. Her return to dance-pop in the Chromatica era revived Gaga’s affinity for vivid, world-building visuals. Stupid Love and Rain on Me offered futuristic, choreographed utopias, while 911 stunned with its surreal psychological twist. The most recent, loosely defined Mayhem era continues in fragments. While traditional videos have been sparse, Gaga has released unpredictable, visually striking clips, sometimes tied to brands, remixes, or short art films. Videos like Abracadabra, Disease, and Die with a Smile (2025) showcase her ongoing commitment to transformation, blending fantasy, identity, and theatrical performance. Over the past nearly two decades, Gaga has turned the music video into a platform for experimentation, activism, and reinvention, making her one of the most visually innovative artists of her generation. THE CEREMONY WILL START SOON!

  28. Let’s be real - no other pop girl would (or could) release a pop-rock disco anthem with vocals like this. There’s a reason this is her best lead single. The intro. Her vocals. The song keeps you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. The worst part about the PI era was the lack of promo, performances and the mixed interviews she gave about it. The whole “it’s about social media” thing was kinda lame ngl. The song was paid dust by her and it suffered the consequences of being forgotten over time (her worst streamed single on a daily basis ). The MV also hurt the song, even tho it captured the energy perfectly. Oh well. It’s Platinum eligible in the U.S. and is certified in 5 other countries

  41. so what? you can't prove that. Maybe gaga was the one who wanted the change. And even if it was michael’s idea, so what? With all these over-entitled fans, I think she/they really do need to distance themselves from the fandom, especially she is starting a family and prioritizing herself more. And I can’t believe you, as the mod of this site, are letting this thread speculates and stay up because you want some page views and because you actually seem to believe these misogynistic craps/prejudiced against michael to a certain extent ( i remember you commented on michael before too) pls close this thread now. getting more and more disappointed in ggd

  42. I f.ucking hate those 'blind item' people on TikTok It's literally just the new 'a source close to the star says' repackaged for the new gen People are just making stuff up babes. And just because some blonde girl with a medium sized following reads them into a little fluffy handheld mic in front of a ring light in her living room on TikTok with the green screen filter doesn't make it any more real than a 'rumour' on Twitter Stop believing everything some random person on TikTok says
