Can you guys be more empathetic? They need more money to support their luxurious lives. I support Gaga ripping her fans off if that’s what it takes for her to thrive her lifestyle. I’m sorry I love seeing her happy in her expensive clothes.24 points

The Paramore frontwoman announced a run of dates earlier this month, and within days she extended the tour due to “overwhelming demand”. The shows kick off in Atlanta on March 27 and include dates in London, Manchester, Glasgow and Dublin in June. Now, she has given an interview to Clash in which she has clearly stated that she intends the tour to be entirely inclusive, saying she wants everybody to “feel welcome to the party”. “I don’t want racists around, and I don’t want sexist people around, and I don’t want people there who think that trans people are a burden,” Williams told the publication. “I think that’s a hard line for me now. I hope it naturally happens that people who do harbour those harmful ideologies aren’t going to feel welcome, because they’re going to walk in the door and realise that the gang’s all here, all banded together around something positive,” she continued. “All are welcome if you believe all should be welcome… If you don’t believe that, you’re not welcome!” Williams is a long-standing campaigner on these subjects, openly criticising the Tennessee Republican leadership last year after turning down an official State Honour. “The blatant racism of our state leadership is embarrassing and cruel,” she said. “Myself, as well as Paramore, will continue to encourage young people to show up to vote with equality in mind.” https://www.nme.com/news/music/hayley-williams-tells-racists-sexists-and-anti-trans-people-theyre-not-welcome-at-upcoming-tour-3913867 https://www.clashmusic.com/features/true-believer-hayley-williams-interviewed/20 points

funny thing is that most fans are (or play) delusional believing that all these artists have no ideal about their products prices, including touring that would be like: “ok, I wanna have control of and know all things on my career and businesses but when it comes to tickets, please, don’t say anything to me, please xoxo”14 points

Wonder how everyone who said Gaga had no control over ticket prices feels now. A total newcomer can but Gaga doesn't have the influence?14 points

Hello lovelies. I was at the gym, staring off into space as I usually do. When it dawned on me as to why the Abra music video didn't clinch a nomination at the Grammys: Is it possible that by debuting the VM during the 67th Grammys, that the music video was disqualified since—I am assuming—Gaga's label paid the Grammys as a sponsor/advertiser? Generally, when you underwrite something it disqualifies you from consideration for any awards by that organization. It seems like the most likely explanation, aside from the VM just not being submitted for xyz reasons.12 points

Just wanted to come on here to give Happy Mistake it’s flowers for being such a hauntingly, beautiful song. Admittedly I didn’t listen to it much when it first came out, but I just revisited this performance and realize that the world really missed out by not giving this song the chance to become the timeless smash hit it deserves to be. At least it’s part of a Grammy nominated album now I suppose11 points

Ticketmaster has given fans of Olivia Dean partial refunds after the British singer condemned ticketing companies for allowing touts to relist tickets for her North American tour at more than 14 times their face value. After the tour sold out in minutes on 21 November and tickets appeared on resale sites at prices in excess of $1,000, Dean addressed the major ticketing companies on Instagram: “@Ticketmaster @Livenation @AEGPresents you are providing a disgusting service,” she wrote. “The prices at which you’re allowing tickets to be re-sold is vile and completely against our wishes. Live music should be affordable and accessible and we need to find a new way of making that possible. BE BETTER.” Ticketmaster initially replied: “We support artists’ ability to set the terms of how their tickets are sold and resold. @OliviaDeano, we will cap resale prices on our site at face value and hope other resale sites will follow.” The ticketing company subsequently said it is in the process of “refunding fans for any markup they already paid to resellers on Ticketmaster”. In a statement, Michael Rapino, CEO of Ticketmaster’s parent company Live Nation Entertainment, said: “We share Olivia’s desire to keep live music accessible and ensure fans have the best access to affordable tickets. While we can’t require other marketplaces to honour artists’ resale preferences, we echo Olivia’s call to ‘do better’ and have taken steps to lead by example.” It’s no secret that concert prices have gotten seriously out of control in recent years, with fans of pretty much every artist having to pay out an obscene amount of money to attend their fave’s show. From dynamic pricing, which sees ticket prices soar in accordance with demand, to shady resales where bots have snapped up all the face value tickets and are now reselling them at a hugely inflated price, these days, you’d be incredibly lucky to snag a ticket for less than a few hundred dollars. Posting to her Instagram story, Olivia wrote: “i’m sorry that there seems to be an issue with ticket re-selling and pricing. my team are currently looking into it. it is extremely frustrating as the last thing i want is for anyone to be scammed or overcharged for our show :(" She then tagged the three major ticket websites, Ticketmaster, Live Nation and AEG, directly as she added: “you are providing a disgusting service the prices at which you’re allowing tickets to be re-sold is vile and completely against our wishes live music should be affordable and accessible and we need to find a new way of making that possible BE BETTER.” Shortly afterward, Olivia returned to her social media page with some good news, writing: “After many conversations with my team, Ticketmaster and AXS have agreed to refund the difference to anyone who has paid over face value for a ticket and will cap all future ticket resale prices to face value for the North American run of the tour.” And while most people praised Olivia for being so proactive in helping her fans, it didn’t take long for others to point out that her success in securing this result proved it was possible all along — meaning that countless other big-name, more established artists simply chose not to challenge the inflated prices on behalf of their fans. https://www.theguardian.com/music/2025/nov/28/olivia-dean-fans-refunded-by-ticketmaster-resale-practices https://drgnews.com/2025/11/28/artists-like-beyonce-and-taylor-swift-are-being-called-out-after-newcomer-olivia-dean-secured-ticketmaster-refunds-for-fans-who-paid-inflated-prices-to-attend-her-tour/11 points

Changed the title a bit since more than just Beyonce were mentioned and deservedly so. Look, I love Gaga, but I keep looking at the new Miami date and there are nosebleed resales going for as much as my VIP ticket was at face value or MORE and that's just pure, disgusting, nasty greed and she 10000000% has the power to protect her fans from it. She clearly just doesn't care that one resale just after I bought my ticket...a floor seat for $65,000 how is that even allowed. If it was my name on the tour and someone pulled that with my tickets, I'd hire a hit squad tbh. Wbk people like Taylor don't care, she bleeds her fans dry regularly. And Beyoncé, for someone who's so outspoken on social issues, is beyond removed from reality. None of them care.11 points

Disney’s animated sequel “Zootopia 2” towered over the domestic box office with a mighty $156 million from 4,000 venues since Wednesday, including $96.8 million over the traditional weekend. Those ticket sales rank as the second-best Thanksgiving launch of all time, behind another Disney sequel, 2024’s “Moana 2,” which earned $225 million over the five days, and above another Disney sequel, 2019’s “Frozen II,” which generated $125 million over the five days. The original “Zootopia” opened in March 2016 with $75 million and became a massive hit with $341 million domestically and $1.02 billion worldwide. “Zootopia 2” was an even bigger force at the international box office with $400 million, including a record-setting $272 million in China. In total, the second “Zootopia” earned a massive $556 million globally to stand as the fourth-biggest opening weekend in history. source9 points

2011 Gaga specifically went out of her way to keep tickets cheap and accessible. She made it a point. Now you won't be seeing her for less than $500 if you're in the States no matter where you sit. It's shameful tbh.9 points

I think Eh Eh, both the song and video, are cruelly underrated. It's such a cute nod to her Italian-American roots, the video is a ****ing vibe. To me it's as emblematic of The Fame as a song like LoveGame that's literally performed at every tour... Justice for Eh Eh tbh. I might have to underline that it was a single in France, which might explain my feelings towards it.6 points

Respectfully, this is a bad take. It's never been "the homosexual community", it's always been "the queer community". Included within that is the POC who have fought and suffered along with us for decades longer than either of us have been alive. It'll always be "LGBTQ+" and implying that it should be anything different is just doing light work for the MAGAs and other freaks that want to divide and conquer until we're all scared to hold the hand of someone with the same sex organs we have.5 points

I will echo what I said in the Mayhem Ball Tour thread: I love Gaga and the tour was awesome, but there is definitely some room for improvement when it comes to the tickets, tour announcements, merch and scalpers. These issues don't apply to this tour only, they are a part of the current tour culture, and it is disappointing to say the least. I know you can't win them all and make everyone happy, but I would love to see her team do something and improve on all these fronts. I barely managed to buy a nosebleed ticket and when I went to the concert, there were so many fans outside the venue with signs asking for tickets. The venue was packed but even then, there were a couple of empty seats on my balcony, and I am sure scalpers/hackers were the cause of that. This should never happen, and I am sad for all those people that missed out on a great show because they weren't quick enough or were given fake tickets... The concert culture needs to improve and Gaga's team can indeed make the necessary changes.5 points

I remember. She paid out of pocket to bring the full BTW Ball to New Zealand because the powers that be only wanted to transport half the show. Paid for a whole ass jet to bring her show. And I remember her specifically saying that she wants everyone to be able to come to her show. The tickets at the back were only $80 ($45USD). It's insane what they cost now. And I'm disappointed she didn't stand up against the dynamic pricing or do anything like guaranteed face-value resales to prevent scalpers like Billie Eilish and Hayley Williams. Idk what capitalistic jerk has gotten into her head but it's sad5 points
