I don’t even like Madonna but yes she will always be relevant simply for being MADONNA. There is no doubt that she is a legend. also just cuz someone ages doesn’t mean they still can’t make art79 points

Yeah it's deserved. The tickets are WAYYYY too expensive for people to essentially be extras in a movie78 points

In the age of artist empowerment, few words carry more emotional weight than masters. And in early 2026, Silicon Valley and Hollywood whispers have collided around a headline-grabbing rumor: that Michael Polansky is quietly preparing a multi-million-dollar play to buy back Lady Gaga’s early master recordings — not as a business flip, but as a wedding gift. The alleged number circulating? $50 million. The claim? That two lingering contracts — one tied to legacy masters, another to future delivery obligations — have kept Gaga from full creative independence. But what’s real, what’s speculation, and why does it matter? Like many major artists of the 2000s, Gaga signed her breakthrough deal with labels under the umbrella of Interscope Records in the mid-2000s. At the time, standard industry practice meant the label retained ownership of the original master recordings for albums like: The Fame Born This Way ARTPOP Owning masters isn’t just about royalties. It’s about veto power, licensing control, creative autonomy — and legacy. The recent industry climate has made that painfully clear. Artists from Prince to Taylor Swift have turned master ownership into a cultural flashpoint. Gaga herself has spoken in past interviews about the “trade” artists make early in their careers — giving up control for opportunity. So when reports surfaced that Polansky was liquidating tech holdings to fund a new private media entity, the internet filled in the rest of the story. Cubans in the US are notorious for this line of thinking. Just because a country you or your family came from was in a dire state and this country offers a better way of life does not meant the rest of us can't critique and demand something better for THIS country. The Constitution of the USA gives us the RIGHT to criticize the government and demand change. I will not let anyone tell me how to feel and what to say. It's funny how these people think they are defending the US when they are actually trying to silence dissent which is actually the most un-American ideology anyone could have if you actually respect our rights.37 points

Madonna has drafted in a star-studded cast for the huge video which will launch her comeback. Kate Moss and film stars Gwendoline Christie and Benedict Cumberbatch were all recruited. Alongside the big-name cameos, her crew shot a car crash, wild warehouse rave and a massive dance scene, with extras suspended from the ceiling on wires. Madonna, hired the entire studio and shot across six stages, with a hundreds-strong crew. “She had her own trailer which was heated at 28C at all times. “Fans can expect to see it in the coming weeks.” https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/38471976/madonna-celebs-epic-comeback-video/32 points

It’s quite amazing to watch him destroy all the good will and intellectual image he crafted in his early days in just one or two promo cycles. Now he’s just like any other self important douchey actor.28 points

The MAYHEM era has been absolutely incredible! It's a VISUAL feast already. The tour and Copacabana alone was everything and more. This whole ART OF PERSONAL CHAOS show was like 14 gothic mvs on broadway. Traditional singles aren't what they used to be. Some fans need to realise that tbh. I do feel had "Disease" performed better, the label may switched things around. However they were clearly satisfied with "Abracadabra" and "DWAS" doing the heavy lifting overall. Anyways let's prepare for GOE to smash on tiktok in 2027.28 points

Well, I must say that I was very struck by the tone of yesterday's news story about Liza and Gaga's appearance at the Oscars. I was struck by the fact that Liza had used those words to refer to Gaga, not because either of them is a saint or an angel, but because they seemed particularly malicious. So I had no choice but to find out who the real author of these memoirs is, which is Michael Feinstein. The book is clear on this point: it's not Liza typing on her computer, it's an artificial construct created by Feinstein, an “old friend” of the artist. So far, so good. But who exactly is Michael Feinstein? Something smelled fishy, so I had no choice but to track down past news articles and publications in which this man had mentioned Gaga. And what did I find? To ABSOLUTELY NO ONE'S surprise, this man is an obsessive Gaga hater who has never missed an opportunity in the past to speak ill of her. Like any good OGH, there are times when he praises her (because, deep down, he admires her deeply) and others, mostly, when he simply talks ****: he has criticized her duets with Tony for sounding “synthetic,” referred to her jazz covers as a “stunt,” and even said that she is an Edith Piaf impersonator (?). Here, for example, is the post in which he celebrates Edith Piaf's birthday and shows how much he cares about Piaf by ending up talking about Gaga lol. https://www.facebook.com/MichaelFeinsteinOfficial/posts/birthday-legend-edith-piaf-1915-1963-arguably-one-of-the-most-recognizable-frenc/2337767559585811/28 points
