  1. Honestly even with all the messiness the fact that Macklemore just saying “Free Palestine” in a concert has actually resulted in $4 million dollars suddenly being donated with a lot of attention being paid to the issue is kind of crazy proof of how powerful and effective even a small gesture like that can actually be.

  3. I dont think MTV/VMAs are seeking to get a big gen Z audience. They aint ever gonna suddenly start watching, even gen Z pop girls didn't help. They've gone for the core vote strategy. Millenial gays.

  5. Her music is connecting to the younger generation though. She’s had at this point 8 or 9 songs go hugely viral on social media (Human Nature is currently) and her catalogue streams continue to go up. Around the time CII dropped, she was at a peak of 52m monthly listeners, putting her in the top 40 artists in the world on Spotify. Is that gonna translate to VMA viewers? Well no. Even if it was Taylor Swift it wouldn’t because the show itself is the problem. But Madonna absolutely is gaining an audience with younger folks more and more as time passes.

  6. With everything that has happened over the last 48 hours, I want to bring the conversation back to where it belongs: to the Palestinian people who are still being killed, still living under military occupation, and still fighting for their freedom. I will be donating the entire $1 million of my net earnings from Ed Sheeran's Loop Tour to six organizations working directly to support the Palestinian people. And I invite Robert Kraft to match my donation. Whatever we disagree about, perhaps we can agree on this: Palestinian lives are worth protecting. A Palestinian life is no less valuable than any other life on this earth. That is what this has always been about. Not me. Not a tour. Not the headlines or the controversy. It is about Palestinians right to freedom, dignity and safety in their own homeland.

  7. “The region”? This statement is such a gross PR response. And ending with that? Toot your own horn I guess

  13. I said in another thread, Bob Kraft is the winner here, no matter what happens, he gets the money while the mob is fighting online.. this is what these powerful rich people wants us to do.. they are distracting us with situations like this one, and Ed, P!nk, Macklemore, are here to entertain us, they will not lose anything, but a small collateral damage. In a few days, everyone will move on from this, the tour will continue.. Macklemore will do his thing, P!nk will do hers.. and we will keep on arguing and be divided.

  14. Apparently it was filmed in New Zealand (where LOTR was filmed) and features narration from Sir Ian McKellen (Galdalf from LOTR). Fantasy and party gays rejoice.

  15. So basically, vinyl variant covers are the photoshoots we used to have in a cd/vinyl booklet... But now we gotta pay 40+ dollars for each shot and booklets exists no more...

  19. Mortgage rates aren't directly tied to the feds interest rates. Plus the anticipation that interest rates will go up is what moves mortgage rates up, not the actual increase. What affects mortgage rates more is inflation, which is what an increased interest rate is meant to fight. So if oil were to come down then interest rates and inflation could come down and in turn so would mortgage rates.

  28. An embarrassing trend Makes artists look greedy & makes customers look insane (clarifying that I'm not personally a vinyl consumer, but I HATE that the "superior" artwork is usually relegated to a throwaway/alternative product, & will therefore be less "remembered" once this trend *hopefully* ends)

  29. I'm not saying this to be malicious or anything but I really don't see her being a huge audience draw. Majority of her music isn't clicking with the new generation and MTV is relatively irrelevant to young people these days. If MTV thinks they're going to draw a big audience with Madonna, they've got another thing coming.

  30. I’m sorry, but the sheer amount of fake, viral tweets, TikToks, and posts trying to paint Gaga as a Zionist is genuinely scary. What’s even more disturbing is seeing so much of this smear campaign being fuelled by other fanbases (KatyCats, BeyHive, Madonna stans, and Swifties etc) seemingly just to get Gaga “cancelled.” They’re weaponising the genocide for their own personal agendas, and honestly, it makes me sick to my core. They’ve gone low before, but this is a whole new level. They don't even care about the actual issue at its core. I genuinely hope Gaga and her team get their sh*t together asap and start taking serious legal action against people deliberately spreading defamatory claims and misinformation. This is actively damaging her public image, and at this point, she really needs to address it and speak out as soon as possible. Anyway, Free Palestine.

  31. Also The fact he had to put out a PR statement is a rare sign that the situation got out of control when Macklemore posted. Kraft is normally silent and impervious

  36. The problem with situations like this is that it often ends in virtue signalling...and this is kind of what we've ended up with in the openers dropping out. Meanwhile everyone ignores the actual problem which is people like Bob Kraft, not Ed Sheeran.
