This is the Top 100 sweetie. Not the Top 10. Not sure what you're asking from her. And it's not the fact that she gave Versace a sales boost, it's the fact that Versace asked her to be the face of its brand while her contemporaries are the face of Pop Chips etc. And no one cares about Koons? Many people in the art world do. Not everyone lives in a forum or listening to a radio station. And what pity? :lmao:

This. I mean. c'mon now...

And yes, of course I voted :)

OMG is this really fan voted now? oppsga.gif Ofc she should. Her Versace campaign made millions, her tour is selling out stadiums around the world, she has Platinum singles and a WW almost 2X Platinum album, she has the ability to work with people like Jeff Koons/Marina, Hearst Castle gave her the rare opportunity to film there, she still has lots of POWER  gagawave.gif

Time 100 is not about power, it's about influence, which are very different things. But whatever, she'll most likely be on the list anyhow.

How do you know :omg:

After you vote, it shows the percentages. :) The lowest ones were Miley & JB I think with like 79% Yes, but Pharrell had 82% and Gaga had 82.1% Beyoncé, JAY-Z, Drake, and a bunch of the other artists were 80-81%.

The fact that they clarify Lady Gaga is a singer, just in case someone had thought she was an European country prime minister  :toofunny:

Honestly: no. But I'm still gonna vote yes, cause the little hope and love and all the stuff she did in the past.

Ugh, the voting system has gone right down the pan. Every year it's been changed to avoid multiple votes, cheating and haters down-voting continuously (anyone else remember the mess of the 2010 poll?) and I guess that's to be commended, but it hasn't half made for a boring competition. I think this was the best possible way to only get one vote each, though. You're going to look pathetic if your FB or Twitter constantly shows your activity as voting yes for Gaga and no for Justin for days on end. But at the same time, why do we need to sign in with either of them to vote? It makes no sense. Just as well I've got a Twitter. Anything that makes me join FB to be in on, I just flat-out refuse.

Anyway, yes, she still deserves this. I don't think she necessarily deserves to WIN this time, though. For those who don't know, there is no "winner," and it's still up to Time if they want to feature the public's choice or not. I remember there was one year where the fan voted entry at #3 wasn't featured at all. However, the published list is split into categories and each category will have a techincal "winner" according to Time's view. Gaga won it in 2010. She headlined the Artists section with a double spread and was one of only 3 people featured on the magazine's cover. So, because she's already acheived that, I don't really care about her placement anymore. She really deserved it in 2010 but now she's not as influential, so I don't think it would mean the same. But seeing the motley crew she's up against, I'd say she still deserves it. Seriously, Lorde is on there? It's not a list of the most famous people of last year, it's the most influential. Lorde is a one hit wonder who hasn't influenced anyone. If she had, rap music would be in decline because she looks down upon its musical themes. And if anything, superficial rap's got more success than it has in years. I don't see one bit of her message sinking in for all those millions who bought it, nor has she ushered in a new musical trend.
