Shadow 6,640
If she continued to play music and dress in the styles of The Fame, the Fame Monster, or even Born This Way... Would she maintain her popularity on the radio like the other favorites? People say they want something different, but the mainstream folks seems to want the same from their pop stars. Would things be different if she kept up her "Fame _____" thing going? Stand in the light, cast your shadow.
SEVDALIZA 1,274
I'm sure people would get bored of her at some point, if she always stayed the same operating from another world
Prometheus 1,494
If she carried The Fame Monster clothes and music into today she would be much more popular.
MonsterOfSpain 8,318
I'm sure people would get bored of her at some point, if she always stayed the same They don't seem to get bored of Katy tho
Shadow 6,640
I'm sure people would get bored of her at some point, if she always stayed the same If that were the case, why aren't people bored of Katy Perry, Rihanna, or Kesha? Kyle 345
Well the same technique is working for Katy, so yeah. I'd like her to go back to that though. Being a different person every couple months makes things confusing for the GP.
Prometheus 1,494
I'm sure people would get bored of her at some point, if she always stayed the same Katy Perry says hello. And that is not flame bait. She sounds the same sonically on PRISM as she does on Teenage Dream, right down to Birthday and Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.). She even followed the same pattern of E.T. by recording Dark Horse.
VforVendetta 2,024
No. She would be considered a completely contructed persona with shallow music, aka Katy Perry. The Fame Era seems amazing today because in the right time Gaga evolved into something else. This is what people that have a vision about a career do. They don't seem to get bored of Katy thoThey don't take her seriously either though.
SEVDALIZA 1,274
If that were the case, why aren't people bored of Katy Perry, Rihanna, or Kesha? Well, Kesha did change, but I'm not sure if the GP noticed or nah, but now that I think about it, you're right Well, scratch what I said, I would get bored and wouldn't be here right now, let's just be glad she changed operating from another world
Addy Ezzie 2
That's an interesting question. You're right, people do want popstars to always make the exact same music. But they would be annoyed at length. See, Miley has radically changed and boy, what a success ! Her image is very different, her music too, and people like that. So I guess they like change. But if she keeps doing the same thing over and over, they'll get bored. I wouldn't like Gaga to always make the kind of music, it would be boring, no matter how talented she is. She has a real capacity to change all the time into whatever she wants, not many popstars can do that. Katy said she would drastically change with PRISM. I love her a lot, but apart from the bubblegum dresses which have disappeared, nothing has changed, and people like her. I really don't know, my post is full of contradictions because I just don't know

Sugarfall 3,723
GP didnt get pissed when she completely spinned her style around in TF-->TFM both style and music wise, but I think that the raunchy mess video called Alejandro and an album completely devoted to self-empowerement made her go downhill. She is still famous, but not in a good way.
Shadow 6,640
Well the same technique is working for Katy, so yeah. I'd like her to go back to that though. Being a different person every couple months makes things confusing for the GP. That is something I noticed. Gaga was doing good at the beginning, because even if her fashion or style changed, she kept within a theme long enough for people to recognize, get accustomed to, and eventually appreciate, until she changed for the next era. However, ever since the later half of BTW, her style choices and music choices are all over the place, almost changing every week. As for her music, Gaga had songs then that people got, or at least though they got (at a surface level), and related with. Is it the production of the song that is important for radio or is it the lyrics? Stand in the light, cast your shadow.
ReRe 1,957
IDK. I love ARTPOP, idc about her success. And no. Not necessarily That technique may have worked for Katy. Who says it will work for Gaga?
VforVendetta 2,024
But she would be far more popular. And it's not like they're taking Gaga seriously rn lolThey do, far more than Katy Perry. And what does really mean she would be much more popular? Is this what you care? Popularity comes ans goes and Gaga is one of the most popular persons on earth, isn't that enough?
