LordDisick 1
lets not be delusional here, gaga DOES care for charts, but her not getting them is not the end of the world for her
Saint Laurent 4,862
But I do think Gaga wants commercial success to a certain extent. She does make + promo singles. She wants to do it her way though. She would like to have commercial success, but it his not her aim. And so long as it is not her aim, commercial performance does not determine her success. Dolev 866
If her real power is touring, than why is artRave going to gross less compared to her previous efforts?. I'm sorry, this is far from truth. "Us" are getting fewer with every day. Something has to happen and it better happen soon, or else it'll be too later. I love Gaga and I'm really worried for her future career because I know she wants to successful as she was back then, even if she won't admit it. elijahfan 26,074
MDNA tour did better than BTWB ... are you implying that it's wrong? 'cause the MDNA Tour was indeed a much bigger success than the BTWBall  The MDNA Tour is the 11th highest-grossing tours of all times (it made $305,158,363), while the BTWBall only grossed $181,100,000.... which is amazing. But let's get the record straight here.

Atlas 1
She would like to have commercial success, but it his not her aim. And so long as it is not her aim, commercial performance does not determine her success. True, but we should try to get her the success, as a gift for all she's done for us; we can never repay her
izlazaz 0
Actually there was a time when Gaga WAS intensely focused on being the top of anything, including the most twitter followers! She used to ask fans to vote for stuff, RT videos etc. She was exhilarated by success and so were we! She declared herself to be a legend in the making, likened herself to Michael Jackson, and said that ARTPOP would be iconic. Then she changed her tune. Now it's music and not bling. Now it's not competitive. Now she makes music for her fans. We are still adjusting to the flip and it ain't easy. We try to back G.U.Y. as best we can but it isn't enough to swing the general public (who she says she doesn't need). But why make a music video to the tune of millions if it is just for fans? Interscope will want a return and they will be hoping to get it from general public sales, not from us. We are transitioning from stanning an artist who 'slays' to being fans of artist who plays, an artist who is one of the most amazing performers in pop history. Saint Laurent 4,862
True, but we should try to get her the success, as a gift for all she's done for us; we can never repay her That is not what she wants from us. When she creates music for us to enjoy, the first thing most people do is go on a crusade for chart performance. Never do we stop for a moment and appreciate the music. All Gaga needs as thanks is our love for her and what she creates. Actually there was a time when Gaga WAS intensely focused on being the top of anything, including the most twitter followers! It is undeniable that Gaga would make such a video just for her fans. Why would she not? That's why she does what she does: to create art for US and HER to enjoy together. Stefani328 321
Selling albums is what keeps an artist relevant, but really a tour is what pulls in the big money, not album or single sells. An album and singles help sell tour tickets by keeping people interested in the artist. You do realize this tour does not have as many dates as her last tour. Even if you count her decline in popularity, I don't think she'll work herself that hard, this time around. I don't think she wants to put herself in that position again.

You're one of the few sane members on here. Also if gaga didnt have the GP her albums would fail to reach 1,000,000 copies sold
