I think that everybody is forgetting a few things, which are of paramount performance.

Firstly, I want everybody to realise that Gaga has at least a million loyal fans who will always stand by her. Consequently, nothing that she ever does will ever "flop". Do you not also realise that millions of babies are born every single day, meaning that other people will grow up and the people who were children in 2008, will be young adults now, providing Gaga with yet more loyal fans every single day.

Gaga's power is in touring and as long as she is alive, there are people, millions of people who want to see her live. She is a polarising figure in the music industry. With such touring power, it doesn't matter that she doesn't have a string of number ones because she doesn't need them. As long as there is demand, which there always will be, Livenation will be willing to pay for her tours.

Finally, and most importantly, when Gaga releases an album, a video or performs, she does it for us: her fans. It doesn't matter that it's not the right time or the right choice of single. It's impossible for her to flop because her aim is not to please the general public, it is to please us. Until now, Gaga has never failed to please us and so in which case, she is on top of the world.

Other artists' fans care about charts and what the general public think because that is what their idols strive for: number ones. Gaga does not, she cares only about making us happy and making good music, which she is succeeding in and if the general public want to join us, we will let them, but we must not crave their attention, admiration or acceptance.

That is all.

MDNA tour tho

MDNA apparently "flopped" and yet it's accompanying tour sold just as well, if not better, than the BTWB, which accompanied an album of 8 million sales. Thank you for strengthening my argument.

But I do think Gaga wants commercial success to a certain extent. She does make + promo singles. She wants to do it her way though.
