We don't know for this era yet but lets not forget that DWUW underperformed as well. Rihanna has had eras with 5-7 singles. The difference is when Rihanna flops, her team just continues. When Gaga flops, she completely shuts down and disappears which gives the public more time to focus on the flop and then she just looks like a joke tbh. Sometimes you need to know when to stop No when you didnt even announce the dates for the tour that it is supposed to promote the album and that it is programed to go on for one year. And Im affraid that this will happen again with artRave and ARTPOP. And for what? The blackouts help, if they are done right, not in the middle of an era, not if they are too long or too little. Also Rihanna has released 6 singles the most, one more single than BTW that has 5 singles and a promotional single. Not every artist releases 5+ singles every album. It just DOES NOT work like that. This is a whole album (TFM had 3). She can't be in the beginning of her tour without a single. They way they went about with GUY was horrendous. They should've sent it to radio 2 weeks before her Jimmy Fallon date, then performed it there instead of a none single. And then release the video later.
