MTN was a 5th single though. Noone woukd release after that, neither Rihanna. We don't know for this era yet but lets not forget that DWUW underperformed as well.

I wonder why....

It was destined to slay and they ruined it...

They handled it wrong. It wouldn't slay but it would have become a sizable hit, probably it would top 2M in the US and it would have done very well WW, better than Applause. I could see it pull 3M outside of the US tbh and 5M WW.

Sure, I agree!

I mean, DWUW has done better in Europe than Uncle (without a video) and the same in the US and you didn't see Capitol stop releasing new singles after that... Birthday will likely not do very well, it has peaked I think, it will soon peak on radio and I'm  almost positive they will release a fifth single..

That being said, Interscope is stupid if the don't release Gypsy!

It is definitely needed.

5 billion views for Rihanna on VEVO wow

and 17 vevo certified

Still she only has four 4x platinum songs in the US. I found out about that yesterday and was completely shocked

Structurally Black Widow is the same as Dark Horse :udidnt:

The build up (I'm gonna love you, I'm gonna love you) that builds up to a similar beat to Dark Horse's  (R u ready for, ready for .. ) the difference is that Iggy raps during the beat, while in Dark Horse it's just the beat and then a Katy verse ...

Someone else shares my opinion on that matter ?  Not saying they copied or anything as the 2 songs are really different but the structure is the same and the beat kind of reminds of DH idk ..

Since Black Widow was originally a Katy Perry song Iggy can't be blamed for copying her

She can't be blamed anyway.. I am just saying that the structure is really similar ..  But I didn't know that it was a KP song first :udidnt:

So basically Katy's team wrote two identical songs but had the one featuring a male rapper and the other a female, tested them out with audiences to know which one got better reactions to be on the album and scrapped the other one so they wouldnt be accused of making the same song twice thus making the album more "diverse"

But the inicial plan was more singles.

And she has how many no 1s and how many top 3s? Are you shock about that numbers also? :awkney:

Yes but she couldn't release more singles from BTW when all the interest was gone, it would have been a stupid move. Sometimes you need to know when to stop

Apparently you can be warned for off-topic posts here now :udidnt:

On-topic: okay Iggy is doing so great :worship: even Bill Werde couldn't imagine Iggy having some success only half a year ago.

rihanna has more flops than hits tho

Not true.

13 #1's, 25 top 10's and 12 of her singles have peaked outside of the top 20 that you can call flops
