SpadesToStart 2,941
I know. She really must choose the best songs. Thats all I wanted from this era after BTW. I think that she hates to choose the songs that are pointed out to her. I never understood how NO ONE at interscope recognized that Scheisse had one of the best, if not THE best chorus on BTW. I still think it would have done so well, b/c Scheisse was what the GP actually wanted from Gaga: quirky, catchy-as-hell dance music.

I still think it would have done so well, b/c Scheisse was what the GP actually wanted from Gaga: quirky, catchy-as-hell dance music. the GP was not looking for a song with a German title and a German intro about new wave feminism The lyrics were confusing and because of the title it could have EASILY pulled a judas. I really doubt "I wish I could be strong without the Scheiße yeah" would have caught on like "I live for the applause" or "you and me could right a bad romance"
Pure Adrenaline 1,518
It's not the singer. It's just that Gaga released a song about being a bottom. Hmm funny how with DWUW again was not the singer but because Gaga released a song with a pedophile about how he could whatever he wants to her body and with Applause was because she released song about loving being famous. Wonder if she release Gypsy or Venus next what will be that she released song rasist song and song about planets. It seems that every song on ARTPOP could be considered as not reliable and not GP friendly and I'm strating to wonder if this is just excuses that her fans keep making or is it really true because I have seen hundreds of comments how ARTPOP is step back and how she wanted to please the GP with this album and commercialized her sound BUT if we look up her previous albums we could pick at least 5 songs that are more reliable than anything on ARTPOP. And now I'm thinking what her next big release will go for will she go back to her usual sound like the 1st 3 albums or go for the art theme again. It's much more fun to have hizophrenia... u never get lonely

She'll go for something new with that Rick Rubin produced album, no? That's what she said...

The art theme was kinda unnecessary, because only ARTPOP the song is more artistic than Gaga's previous material.

She should have called the album Aura or something like that, but I guess ARTPOP was special for her....

BTW had more experimental songs in terms of sound when it's lyrics were close to literal similar to her early work where ARTPOP's lyrical content it more complex there's double even multiple meaning in every song and the whole style she wrote the album is more creative in way sampling the history of pop culture(from Sun Ra's verses in Venus to the 70's rebelious sound of ARTPOP to Fashion's 80's style to Applause's back and forth conversation about fame) and yes I agree that the most artistic song is the title track but the whole album is still more superior and hard to understand than her 1st 3 albums it's like the Born This Way version of TFM It's much more fun to have hizophrenia... u never get lonely

Mostly BTW. ARTPOP, in my opinion, is a step back in lyrical themes and experimental sounds, and I can't put the 'putting ART and POP together' on half of the album, including Gypsy, Donatella, J&D, Fashion!, DWUW and Sexxx Dreams. The album has some nice pop songs, but that's it for me. I've been listening to BTW at least twice a week ever since December, while I only play ARTPOP (in its entirety) like once every 2 months nowadays. And it's just perspective, because I listen to ARTPOP almost daily and I can only listen to BTW or TFM occasionally.
