On Pop Songs, which originated on Oct. 3, 1992, "Shake" matches the record No. 12 start of Mariah Carey's "Dreamlover" (Aug. 14, 1993). That hit, too, led off a highly-anticipated album, Carey's Music Box. The set topped the Billboard 200 for eight weeks and has sold 7.3 million.

Below "Shake" and "Dreamlover," Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" and Justin Timberlake's "Suit & Tie" each debuted on Pop Songs at No. 14. The former introduced her 2011 album of the same name, while the latter ushered in Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience last year.

I still cannot get over the fact that "Shake It Off" matches Mariah's "Dreamlover" record :toofunny:

Maybe. Domino still gets me movin. I really liked how they did the solos and then the trio. It was fresh and had me hooked.

It was sad tbh. I thought "Domino" would be the song that would give her first #1, but it stalled at #6. Still it was great compared to "Price Tag" which peaked outside the top 20 :toofunny:

Dangerous Man

is it good? how much did other albums from pop girls sold? (even if ariana is beginning)

I think so. The number album sold 20K+. This is just midweek sales btw, not yet the full week.
