Having in mind Katy singles standarts it will do moderate. :emma:

Lol, fans here are always good to see talking, because I was right about Uncle and Birthday that these songs won't do any good but some said Uncle will slay some said same with Birthday, but now they will see that TIHWD will do moderate 2-3m US, and you will deal, because it's not only me, friends I know said the same that it's alot more catchier than Uncle or Brithday. :emma: let the light in and let Katy have her moment.

Do you think radio is going to support THIWD like they did with Birthday? They saw that the GP didn't like EVERYTHING released by Katy (Unconditionally was an exception but actually did quite okay) and aren't going to give as much radio support as fast to THIWD. I think if it doesn't enter the Top 50 quickly it'll peak at 50M or 60M AI.

I've read before on ATRL that Capitol has planned 7 single releases for the era and that the current 2 'flop' singles are not the third and fourth best on the album, because she wants to keep the best songs for when she can promote. She now can't promote.

But I doubt they'll release another single if THIWD flops GUY-like. Which isnt going to happen because Katy will at least get:

- iTunes frontpage promotion

- radio support to AT LEAST 50M AI (enough to outpeak GUY and enter Top 100 on iTunes)

- a better, 'funny', 'relatable' video

but no way she's hitting #1. The #1 spot till the VMAs is pretty much secured for Hideaway and Rather Be. I wonder which of them will block the other.

I've never heard a serious song with a bridge that embarassing :emma:

RUHHHHSSSPEKKTT!!!!

The chorus is very boring. G.U.Y. teas. The song is so cheesy :rip:

and I've never seen a lyric video that generic. It's even more try-hard to appeal to young females than the

C'mon lyric video  :dies:

you can see in the comments that all of them are fans.

I have no damn clue what Capitol is doing. They think Legendary Lovers will smash just like Interscope thought Marry the Night would :smh:

Listening to it right now. It's a nice song, and if it were of an artist like Rihanna it would probably make me listen to a few album tracks

I just don't like some parts of the song. It's a bit too dull for me, but that's what the GP likes.

The biggest danger for the PRISM era is losing all the momentum it's got. Once you've lost the momentum with multiple flop singles, you've ruined the trust of radio stations and they aren't willing to spin your Top 500 song 7 times a day anymore.

Hopefully these singles will be promoted to death (which will likely result in a negative effec). The next era could truly be her ARTPOP era.

But if the era loses momentum, it's really hard to pick it up again. Walking on Air has shown it's not a smash like Dark Horse is, and is not capable of picking up the momentum.

Legendary Lovers is imo too album track-y. It's not really memorable, it's kinda forgettable yet easy to listen to. The only thing you remember is 'Legendary Looverrss' and some strange noises her voice makes.

What's with the BANGERZ era, after Adore You (early this year) everything just stopped.

The album had some single worthy songs left (FU, Do My Thang, Drive)

Seems there would be no more #1 singles from PRISM. TIHWD sounds less of a hit than BD to me, and LL's probability of hitting the top spot, if released as the 6th single, could dampen with two consecutive non-top 10 hits. But then again, I guess chart-topping singles are no longer their top priority, considering KP's about to have her first ever world tour grossing more than $100 million, and could even reach as high as $195M-200M by next year. A re-release of the album either by the end of this year or early next year is a must if they really want to milk everything off like they did with TD.

The part where she says "It's no big deal, it's no big deal, it's no big deal!" is really weird. Really would not be my choice for next single.

Not my choice too, but that line which you mentioned is possibly the only memorable thing on that song. Yeah probably because it sounds weirdly random.  :toofunny:

It's really annoying. All my friends find it annoying too. Like is that all they could come up with for a pre-chorus? Saying it's no bit deal like 10 times is not only lazy songwriting but also a massive oxymoron
