Well maybe she is releasing Act2 songs on another album, maybe she moved from ARTPOP. It is qiet sad cause ARTPOP era wasn't even close to what se prepared us. Where are all experimental tracks, where are new tech inventions, revolutionally app....

The hype for the app was incredible and then... :emma: I thought everything was perfect when Applause was released and the music video which became my favourite music video :legend: and the. A string of disappointments: Venus being replaced by DWUW, DWUW video not released, one of my least favourite tracks becoming 3rd single and then not even given proper promotion :emma: and now it looks like the era is over

I'm gonna need perfect micromanagement (with some allowance for usual Gaga craziness) for the next era. But above all the music should be the best and as honest as BTW and some elements of ARTPOP (Dope and ARTPOP and Applause and Gypsy) were.

You're mature and have experienced better music than we'll ever experience for the first time while we have Ms Keene as the Queen of Pop of our generation :emma:

It's a sad world we live in now.

Like I said in another thread, in the 90s you so much more diverisity when it comes to music.

Bon Jovi, REM, Nirvana even Metalicca could top the charts. But also RnB, Eurodance or divas like Mariah and Whitney.

Now if you look at the charts, it's first of all all EDM or produced or sang by Pharrell (or something that sound like he could have produced) or Katy reliving her TD cycle.

And yes to me that is basic, sorrynotsorry.

And people wonder why I descided to stan for Gaga.

you can't clasify EDM as basic. Just like there is Katy in pop there is basic artists in EDM as well, but you can't say it as genre is basic. But yes ones that are toping the charts are pretty basic

EDM as an umbrella for all kinds of subgenres like Electrohouse or (Psy)-Trance for example on it's own is not basic.

But we agree on the last sentence the one that you hear on the radio or topping charts is.

Agreed with you about the basicness of today's most popular music you can listen to on the radio. Gaga is like the best thing to ever happen to pop music but the way she's treated is just horrible.

This gave me a life. I really wanted somwtheing clean, futuristic but at the same artistic for ARTPOP. It turned completely vice versa.

Yes but it wasn't really noticable till early 2000s when basically Eurodance died of and it all kinda scrabbled into "EDM"

I realised it myself when Mariah AND Whitney TOGETHER couldn't even get a number 1 hit after all the feud rumors and bit of shade throwing here and there by them both.

Kings of Leon in that aspect followed Bon Jovi with hits that are played on the radio.
