You have to look at the entire list for the entire two years. There are plenty of top 5 songs on those two lists, to see a general pattern, without pulling out one or two exceptions. Whispering 18,865 Posted April 25, 2014 Share Posted April 25, 2014 Doesn't take away the fact that Unconditionally fell like a rock on radio and that Birthday will do the same if it doesn't prove itself Uncle still wasn't in the top 20 decreases for either year, despite being in the top 10 INCREASES...so, yeah, it does take away the fact that it will drop "like a rock" eventually. Radio will push BD to the top, like it is a top 5 iTunes red hot debut single, and then radio will let the song drop gracefully (not let the bottom fall out like they did with DWUW and other songs) if it doesn't catch on. Guess what song is about to jump into the top 20 increases for the first four months of 2014?! You guessed it!! A fourth single, hovering in the 100s-200s all week is about to get into the top 20 for largest updates of all the songs released over the last four months. That's right, Birthday will now be in with Dark Horse, Talk Dirty, All of Me, Happy, Sing and other iTunes #1s and high charting singles and debut singles! ....that makes perfect sense.
