I mean, 5 years ago her song was #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and now we're celebrating the fact that she climbed a few spots closer to the top 500 on iTunes. Like, wake up please. Stop being out of touch with the present and reality like Gaga and open your eyes. Only then we can move forward and everyone, including Gaga, can be happy again. No. You are right, of course ARTPOP is great but I meant something more appealing. I just don't think you are right with comments like "MANiCURE is a good choice because it appeals to girls and they are the ones buying music the most" but when a song appeals strongly to one audience, what happens if that audience doesn't click with the song.. it tanks faster than Lotus.. The Edge Of Glory can appeal to everyone. Gaga didn't try to appeal to certain audience with that song.. That was my point. The point is we're not making excuses. We do not believe her music has stagnated at all. That's why although we love tracking her on the charts most of us (yes, contrary to popular belief on this forum it's most of us) don't care THAT much for the charts. The lyrics are quite unrelatable too if you don't know the song is about her grandfather passing away. Lyrically, she needs to go back to TFM days. I agree with you about TFM thing but I don't agree with TEoG, that was a hit elsewhere (in France for example). The lyrics are the best out of all her singles and are relatable and understandable without being dumb, bland, cringy, corny, ba--l. The song would've smash WW if it wasn't for Judas being released shortly prior to TEOG and the video was good. I mean TEOG and Judas performed nearly like a double single release, and the fact that TEOG still managed to sell 5M WW and Judas at the same time did well in some countries ..
