GagaisHotAF 419
G.U.Y. could end up like Neon Lights. Everyone called Neon Lights a "flop" but it was kinda a sleeper hit. Probably on Grindr

Luc 4,776
DWUW was a top 10 song on CHR and Rhythmic and top 5 in Canada, UK and several other countries. It went Platinum in the US. That is not a flop. Also Demi. :) But what's the point if only Anglophone countries, excluding Australia, and non-Top 30 markets (UAE, Israel, Balkan ) jumped on it? That'd barely help album sales. If we get a next single, it would help album sales even less than GUY. Imagine: they'd kept the momentum of the era going, and we'd still be selling 25k a week. GUY would push the album to 35k a week tbh but the momentum of the era is long gone and the album isn't going to be ressurected.

That is not a flop. I wasnt talking about DWUW? I said if GUY flops then they shouldnt release a 4th single because if that flops, then it would be even harder to get radios to play gagas next lead single as she would be coming off two flops Justin Timberlake, Rihanna are some examples though. I know that these are more powerful radio artists but I don't think that they will ignore Gaga if Gypsy shows good signs. I mean they are still spinning Applause a lot and it was released 8 months ago. Also DWUW was far from a flop. I wasnt talking about DWUW^, but i agree that radio is unpredictable, personally though, i wouldnt risk it LADY GAGA/madonna/katy perry/little mix/ariana grande/selena gomez/britney spears/taylor swift

Pitch 204
She doesn't have anything to lose at this point. But she would, thats what im trying to explain, if GUY flops then she releases say Gypsy, and that flops because of GUY little success, then she would be entering the next album era coming off two flops, radios would be likely resistant to play the next lead single as it would seem the people are over her, thereby effecting her next era's success much more greatly than if she was just coming off of one flop (GUY) LADY GAGA/madonna/katy perry/little mix/ariana grande/selena gomez/britney spears/taylor swift

If it was a song that was more listener friendly for the GP, it could become a moderate hit. Artists do have hits and misses. That's the point the other comments are making. From Bruno to Justin to Rihanna, artists have had songs that failed to connect with radio listeners and the buying public. Gaga is no different and there is no reason radio should or would treat her as such.

Yeah i know theres a chance that the 4th single will be a hit, but its a big risk if GUY flops, and thats what im trying to say, theres a lot to lose if gaga puts out a 4th single if GUY flops, imo the negative consequences of a flop would outweigh the positive consequences of a hit, so i dont think its worth the risk LADY GAGA/madonna/katy perry/little mix/ariana grande/selena gomez/britney spears/taylor swift
