GagaMyBlood95 9,915
stay pressed, its still doing better than G.U.Y. without any spin, nor a huge video. Sorry, but only you sound pressed... West Coast is the lead single while GUY is the third single... Ohh yeah, and Applause had NO radio deal, BTW had one ;)

Stefani328 321
stay pressed, its still doing better than G.U.Y. without any spin, nor a huge video. I don't like to compare but West Coast is first single which equals hype. G.U.Y. = no hype.
Scarface 0
Since when everybody expected Lana to have this big impact on the US charts? I expected that her lead single wouldn't even appear in the iTunes Top 20 tbh. How fast standards can change
GagaMyBlood95 9,915
We're off topic, I don't see any similarities between WC and GUY....
Bye 3,947
well it went #2 without the radio deal that for example applause had. Applause went to number 2 because it was the lead single like West Coast, most people wouldn't even have heard it played before buying it radio deal kept it there for longer, true. Hello Mr. Radio 45
Lana will never smash in the US. SNL ruined any chance of her becoming the indie Adele. She was on track to be huge until that happened.

How fast standards can change :roll:I had tbh because she had a top 10 hit in the US and she had also a lot of buzz surrounding her release + Lorde proved that even alternative artists can have big success. I don't really care about Lana flopping as long as the music is good (which was not the case with the first single).

Ohh yeah, and Applause had NO radio deal, BTW had one ;) applause got a HUGE radio update after the pop emergency ;), she went to those radio interviews first week, the song was sent really quick for adds and ****

People seem to forget that Applause faught from the bottom. applause got a HUGE radio update after the pop emergency ;), she went to those radio interviews first week, the song was sent really quick for adds and **** This is not a radio deal though. The single was just released earlier. Also the add date happened in the official release date of the song, stations just added it earlier because it was a new Lady Gaga single. I know that radio isn't playing the song, I don't blame Lana for that. I said that I expected after all that hype etc radio to embrace the song. Also in my opinion the song is not that good. If it was a better song I think that the love of the public would be bigger and radios would play the song sooner or later. This still can change of course but I don't think that this song can do it. You can evaluate this situation from two totally different point of views.
