cant you guys just settle for a medium success album, why is it so bad for your health if its not a massive hit or a total flop?

I couldn't agree more..

But the public doesn't notice it when an artist is away for like 3 months. Look at Katy, she took a break of a year. Did that hurt her?

Meanwhile, Beyoncé did what you guys would consider a break since she wasn't on radio yet everybody noticed her in 2013.

Katy had a perfect break. Not too much, not too little. Gaga had an ideal break like this ( in between albums) betwenn TFM and BTW.

Beyonce made a risk with the too long break. It work for her. It can work for Gaga too but I dont think its the smart move to take another long break between albums, after ARTPOP.

Do you get what a break is? :rip: she's had one break in her whole career and that was March-June 2013.

nn I was talking about break between albums, it was pretty obvious from my post.

And those breaks are expected, needed and appreciated. A six month break between eras is completely typical, especially for someone who had been recording, touring and doing promo for several years straight. Radio PDs and professionals in the music industry want artists to take those breaks.

Absolutely. A six months break is the best case between ARTPOP and the next album. Thats what she did between TFM and BTW.

The bad thing is that she really worked then.

You can call ARTPOP a medium success album, but the real problem are the singles at the moment.

Exactly! I don't understand how people don't get this. Most people in the world don't follow ANY artist on a daily or even monthly basis. They have no idea how radio works. They don't know about the songs that never made it to the top 20, because the chances are great that they never even heard the song! All they know is when they hear a song on the radio, that the artist has a new song out. Unless the break from music is obvious, like Justin Timberlake, most music listeners never even notice them.

For me the 2 millions mark is far now :toofunny: even 1,8 maybe in one month.

She'll definitely reach 2 million mark this year. Everything above it is delusional to think.

99% of the artists have breaks between albums. Rihanna is the rare, rare exception- NOT the rule!

Artists take time off between albums. There has to be some time after a tour to write, record and line up the next era. Most labels will recommend time away from the public eye and from radios, so that they will "miss you".

Radio will notice a long break. People from music industry will also notice. And when the time will come and their turn to show the support for a song an album or an artist will come, you dont know how they will react.

After a massive era they will probably be there even after a long break, After a medium succesfull era, that is seen as a failure by a good part of the media, things are harder.

People just don't wanna beleive the fact that people don't like Gaga's music as much as they used to or as much as other artists.
