Kenny Chesney's new album is already selling well. Its number 30 on iTunes. And I think ts been available for preorder since mid August. Thats going to make it hard, if impossible, for C2C to get number 1.

They do. At least Lionel Richie's album in 2012 did.

"Richie is also benefitting from a partnership with HSN, where the singer appeared during an hour-long special on March 16. Universal Music Group, Richie's record company, says he sold 20,000 "Tuskegee" albums during the show. (Those sales will count towards the album's debut week, as they were not fulfilled to the customer until this week.)"

Omg I hope so cuz if not then that's a lot of sales that'll just be ignored  :ohno:

If Richie's Tuskegee sold 20k in an hour and C2C sold 15k then that could mean C2C might sell around 150k the first week since Tuskegee sold 199k its first week. Whats interesting is Tuskegee didn't get to number one until its third week of release. Maybe that will happen to C2C too.  It could still get number one even if it doesn't the first week.

I don't think it will work that way. Richie had several country superstars on his duets for that album. That album appealed greatly to the country music fans and that genre sells a lot of albums.
