Mills 446
What are the best selling albums in the U.S thus far? Anyone have that info? I want to know what C2C has to sell to be considered among the best selling albums of the year. As of 9/7/2014, here are the top 10 best-selling albums so far, according to SoundScan: 1. Frozen - 3,050,000 2. Beyoncé - 761,000 3. Lorde - Pure Heroine - 741,000 4. Eric Church - Outsiders - 708,000 5. Coldplay - Ghost Stories - 701,000 6. Now 50 - 614,000 7. Luke Bryan - Cash My Party - 595,000 8. Brantley Gilbert - Just As I Am - 555,000 9. Sam Smith - In The Lonely Hour - 552,000 10. Pharrell - G I R L - 516,000 Here's the article comparing the album sales of 1994 with 2014's. Taylor Swift could easily hit #2 once her new album gets released. Barbra's Partners can displace Pharrell's. And based on the top 20 best-sellers from the mid-year report of SoundScan, one would need to move at least 400k to enter the top 15 (and that's excluding the expected upcoming Q4 major releases). I hope C2C manages to get near towards gold by the end of the year in hope of being part of this year's top 20 best-sellers.

Mills 446
Do you happen to know what albums were blocking TF & TFM? The Fame (#2 peak), the re-release, was blocked from the top spot by Susan Boyle in 2010. Originally and prior to the release of TFM, both as a standalone EP and the TF re-release, TF's peak was at #4 in March 2009. U2, Taylor Swift's Fearless, and Neko Case were the top three. As for TFM (#5 peak and debut), the standalone album, it was blocked by strong competition led by Susan Boyle's 700k+ debut, Andrea Bocelli's "My Christmas", Adam Lambert's debut, and Rihanna's Rated R. The Fame, the re-release with TFM, was #6 that week. If there was no re-release involved (i.e. counting all sales of TFM solely towards the EP), TFM would've easily debuted at #2.
