That's why I want Gaga to join Capaytol not Flopterscope. Interscope literally kills era everytime it can be resurected.

I could agree if what we really care is only her chart achievements.

She can move to Atlantic Records, where Bruno Mars find real happiness. :legend:

I don't see the point in not releasing a fourth single.

Well, there's the avoidance of potential (further) humiliation. What if a second consecutive single failed to crack the top 40? What if it didn't make the top 100?

I'm not saying that I think these outcomes are likely, but then, I never would've called G.U.Y.'s performance, either.

Rihanna wouldnt have Rude Boy and Where Have You Been if Def Jam was thnking about "humiliating" her by releasing another single after one or two flops

don't follow my instagram (trying out reverse psychology)

Maybe I'm a bit delusional, but I think Sexxx Dreams as a single would do way better than G.U.Y

Gaga signing with Capitol

Pro: Label mates with Katy Perry, has the same executives pushing for big numbers and going to great lengths to get them.

Con: She'd probably be forced to be a basic b---h, make super bubblegum pop, and lose all her freedom.

Can't have everything, I guess.

I think she could be progressive as she is now, Capitol would only increase her promo, more discounts probably, firs time for forever she may get discounted song, not album, also more promo spots, radio would start spinning her more.

Maybe, but Capitol might be a lot tighter with her creative decisions. She's quite lucky, being a commercial pop star, that Interscope give her so much of a say in what she does. I can't imagine they'd ever let Katy release a video say, like Alejandro.

:rip::rip::rip:

We went from 1M to 500k to hoping for 300k and now we're 150k

Well I'm actually happy everyone is lowering their expectations.

We can be delusional together

Transferring labels in the middle of one's popularity is a risky thing to do. I would never recommend Gaga to leave Interscope and sign a contract with the same label of her closest pop rival, since we also have to consider that playing favourites isn't unusual among entertainment companies or any company for that matter. Not to mention, KP is Capitol's most successful chart force in decades, arguably since the Beatles. She's basically their crowning jewel. Who, between the two, do you honestly think will be given a priority, if ever they happen to strike a deal with Gaga? The one they've made into a star from scratch, or the one they've been trying to overshadow since 2009? The timing of Roar's release couldn't be more obvious.

It'll be the same reason why I wouldn't want Gaga to share the same label of Rihanna or even Beyonce. I'd rather have Gaga stay in a label where she's the sole resident pop star than share with her biggest contemporary rival. And I doubt that even if Gaga does transfer to Capitol that her music will automatically be overplayed by radio. That'll entirely depend if she decides to work with Dr. Luke - which is way more unlikely than Gaga joining Capitol.

I'm grateful that Gaga became big on Interscope.

Interscope create / help artists like Eminem, Lady Gaga, Lana Del Ray. . .   Capitol - Katy Perry.   I am sure you can spot the differnece :nick:

No matter who Gaga signs with, there's no way her next contract won't include total creative control. First -- because there will be a bidding war over her -- the labels will offer it. Second, she will demand it. They have nothing else to offer her that she wants more.
