In the Lady Gaga scene, it does.

They'll talk about her chart performance even if she started doing screamo.

So what if they'll talk? Just because they talk about it doesn't make it matter...

We're in 2014 now. Rock music is not popular anymore.

If she started doing rock and ditched Pop, not only she'll lose her pop fans that are not interested in the rock genre, but she'll also flop harder than she is right now.

US album sales: #54 ARTPOP, @ladygaga 6,000 (685,000 total).

this should really be in the OP. also wow 6,000 albums. and that's #56. People really aren't buying music lol.

Roseland shows + 1 tv performance, the impact made

Actually, this surge is entirely due to the discounted price and the video release of G.U.Y. The impact of those other two you've mentioned will be seen on next week's chart.

Still don't get what's the point of her converting to rock. She's a pop star & has always been one and pop is what she likes and excels in doing.

Pretty sure there'll be more people for PopGa than for RockGa.

I need to remind myself every now and again that I don't care about the charts but every single time I open this thread I get a bit depressed :rip:

Well at least the album rebounded. Looks like it might have sold quite a bit thanks to that video and really that's better than a high charting single.

Well yeah, I agree about the rock music part. I didn't actually want to add that, my bad.

It would not be an album for the charts, she can't stay on the same track because people obviously aren't here for her current music style anymore. It would attract new fans. A lot of people abandoned gaga after all that happend after btw, the fans that remained won't go that easily. While Taking a break from the popindustrie she can work on her image let alone that after a rock album she can do pop again that sounds really fresh so her comeback at the popindustrie could be more succesfull than ARTPOP ever was.

Before there was love, there was silence

It's too early for a pop act like her to ditch the genre which made her famous in the first place. Perhaps in five years' time? Or better yet, she could simply incorporate rock music with her current material. Let those rock fans appreciate her, and let the pure pop fans have their catchy hits as well. I'd go for the win-win.

Even better, hoping for more jumps next week then too!
