A song that's sent to radios is a single. There really is no point in saying otherwise.

Very true, but can you honestly say DWUW was a real single without a music video? Perhaps it would go under the term 'superficial' Or maybe that's my naive thinking.

It's uncommon, but there are a fair amount of songs without a video.

Some of Rihanna's singles come to mind immediately. 

Talk That Talk and Right Now were sent to radio but never got videos.

Oh dear is she regretting replacing DWUW with the magical Venus :eek: G.U.Y. to me is the third single from ARTPOP as we've had Applause and Do What U Want.

Radio hit? puhleaz...lol I've actually NEVER heard DWUW on radio...maybe it was a hit where u live...worldwide? not so much...

Didn't it go top 10 on pop radio? I remember it peaked at 7 and stayed top 10 for a while.

It was, I remember when the song was on the radio refreshing kworb. DWUW peaked at 7 on pop radio for a day and stayed in the 8-10 range for a while.
