Funny how everyone i knew loved her and her music during TF era, i think they liked her more than i did. Then magically after the Alejandro MV is released people started disliking her because liking her meant you were gay or just weird. Essentially liking Gaga wasn't "cool" anymore. The GP are made of people who don't have much going on in their heads. I swear the only reason a bunch of my friends even like Katy Perry's music is because she has a nice rack. It's sad and extremely superficial that people think this way but nothing you can do. Also the media have done it to the best of them. MJ and Madonna are perfect examples of what they do. In the end they are businesses trying to sell papers and get page views. You really can't expect them to do anything else. They'll be kissing Gaga's ass soon enough mark my words. What Gaga must do is stay strong and come through the storm unscathed. If she can get through this then she will be fine in the future imo. The media will kiss her ass again and she'll get that positive press which will boost her popularity. Also can people stop saying things like she shouldn't have done things like the Alejandro MV, Judas, BTW album etc. Who gives a **** if it turned people away from her. I for one am happy she did all those things because it's what she wanted to do and it's her vision as an artist. If the GP can't handle it then i feel sorry for them because they are missing out. Alejandro music video, the Meat Dress, the egg and those ugly Born This Way horns, then Judas. By then people were tired of her antics because they became less innovative and more about blatant controversy. It didn't help that Adele had a massive breakthrough around the same time. Adele was basically the anti-Gaga and gave the public more reason to turn on her. It's the same thing that happened with Madonna. She was on top of the world until she went too far with Erotica and the Sex Book. Madonna was able to rebound by reinventing herself. Gaga can do the same. It's just that the ARTPOP era was very messy and didn't make enough of a splash. There was too much competition with Katy and Miley's comeback. Gaga's comeback needed to make a much bigger splash, especially coming off a media blackout. Gaga's personality has also changed dramatically with Born This Way. She's no longer fearless and mysterious. She has become preachy, whiny, and insecure, and that turns off a lot of people.I agree with your post except the last paragraph and Ill tell you why. I think that the BTW and after Gaga is much more human and much more real. As badass as TFM Gaga seemed U think that this Gaga was the reason that public treats her that way because she was perfect and she dud no wrong so noone actually ever felt sorry for her or though that she was human. Yes, I do agree that the music you release places a signifact factor as far as what the GP will make successful. And yes, Katy does cater to the GP. But you can not deny that almost everything Gaga does is presented in a negative way by the media even if its clear that Gaga is doing nothing bad or wrong. yes, they do it, but most people don't read the music blogs or magazines, they just listen to the music that's played on the radio, and while they liked Applause (it was a hit), they bought Roar more because Katy appeals more to them now, so it was a smash hit. I don't believe they even know whats going on. All of my friend/family/people outside this fan base know nothing about any of this. They don't know what DWYW refers to, they don't really get what applause is about, they know nothing about this "blackout" everyone on here knows about... Gaga kinda just "is" now, shes kinda just exisiting. I hate to say it. She just isn't where she used to be in terms of popularity, or everyone knowing/caring about her.. we live in the instagram/google/twitter tech-obsessed world now. Where infrmation is being fed to us by the second, Celebrity and fame isn't what it used to be, back when people would obsess ofver music icons like michael, madonna, ect. fame and celebrity has changed. Then we have the poeple who say "oh btw turned people away, the horns, the MTN video, the horns, dark look, etc." PEOPLE DO NOT CARE. They don't remember that MTN was the fifth single or even a single, or that she chose You and I over scheisse..I think this article is more of an excuse as to why Gaga just isn't on top anymore.
