Why is The Fame (Album) so poorly received

It's a great album but when you compare it with the rest of her discography, it's not at the same level.

It's not poorly received by me at all.. it was my first taste of Gaga!

Cause she attracted  a lot of fans with a snobby attitude about dance pop, who think her 2008-09 hits are "generic" when they were revolutionary at the time in North America.

This.

Michael

I adore that album, I just also adore Gaga's evolution and growth in her music.

No way, I appreciate the album and still listen to a number of tracks from it today. I love it.

It's a fun, cohesive, and well-groomed album with VERY strong singles. It's unapologetic (#GetDatPromoRih) about the fact that it's pure pop, and teases you with just enough substance to keep you hooked. I'll take this eccentric, fierce, free b---h soundtrack over ARTPOP any day.

It's obviously not as good as the others, in fact I think that I wouldn't be a fan in Gaga keep making that kind of music, I think is great but not really what calls my attention

Interludicrous

If you ask me, the wrong songs were promoted. My favorites from the album are 'Disco Heaven', 'Summerboy', 'Retro Dance Freak'  and 'The Fame', yet these songs (except for The Fame) barely got any attention.

And at the same time, songs like 'Boys Boys Boys' and 'I Like It Rough' kinda scared me at first :toofloppy: .
