Luc 4,775
It's slander in my book but they would probably through it as freedom of speech and journalism. What about making fake personalities? Next to that, the guy who writes those articles has Twitter accounts on which he sends journalists death treats, pretending to be a fan of Gaga.ONE date in south america u mean, that even not selling out, sold over 30 k tickets Colombia, Mexico City, Paraguay, Peru, Porto Alegre had loads of empty seats and standing places. CARLPOP 0
That one is so obvious: LiveNation had to come up with a cover up with the aid of Billboard just like they had to when she had to cancel her show due to "poor sales" aka hip injury. LOL she is gone from The Examiner but there is a new one

Scotty 87
Glad they finally spoke out! More dates for the UK? As long as as she doesn't add Newcastle (where I live) because I've already dished out hundreds of pounds to get 2 tickets, travel and accommodation to go to Manchester and I don't want it to all be for nothing
freebit 6,132
Yes, get them LiveNation! I believe what we are seeing here is a new management in town. That Angela Cheng shiit stopped on Examiner soon after Gaga got new management. Now, we have this, attacking her lies another way. Management is directly responsible for the communication between the media and artist on all fronts, including rumor control. Troy's philosophy may have been different in the past, but it looks like Gaga's new management is going in for some of the negative media: I think you have a point. I remember reading some old NYT article about J.Lo, and allegedly one of the reasons she ended up getting rid of her manager was because among other reasons, like mismanaging her funds from endorsements, he wasn't doing anything to combat the bad press (of course she went on to rehire him years later, welp). Gaguita 0
What about making fake personalities? Next to that, the guy who writes those articles has Twitter accounts on which he sends journalists death treats, pretending to be a fan of Gaga. Colombia, Mexico City, Paraguay, Peru, Porto Alegre had loads of empty seats and standing places. But in the case of Porto Alegre, the date was announced 45 days before the show, and she already had two succesful dates in rio and sao paulo which gives a total of aprox. 80k people. The Latin American dates were weird: we had a short time between the sale an the actual show to buy tickets, Madonna was way ahead (her tickets sale began in april/may) so a lot of people who bought tickets to her dates couldn't afford Gaga's. Peru, Paraguay, Colombia are not that great markets for most artists... Shakira and some latin artists have had amazing numbers but that is just because the have decades of carreer. We have to keep in mind that Gaga came to Latin America when she wasn't doing any promo and wasn't at the peek of her carreer. Mexico, Brasil, Chile and Argentina are four big markets and she shouldn't skip them with this tour.
