MANiCURE 60
I think the show was very good. Not my taste, but I believe everything was planned to be edgy, rough and shocking at times. She spent the last few days listening to metal bands on a festival ffs, and her doing the routines and changing glittery costumes for every song would be much more out of place than this. There's no way the artRave would be anything like this, people need to take a chill pill! This was a one off stunt, bookmark me. Think I'm with ya here. I cant imagine artRave to be like this. At least, I kinda hope not.
Orly D 314
Since when did her speeches become this vulgar?
Allison M 357
Why are people saying that Gaga is lost? She always acts like a drunk rock star at festivals tbh. It's the atmosphere that puts her in that mood. She had a good time and so did the people there and a lot of fans here. Mission accomplished. It's not like this is what Gaga is going to do all the time now. She said herself that this show is her going to back her roots(lighting hairspray on fire, etc). That's why she brought her friends in stage. I'm sure the Roseland shows will be cleaner and more rehearsed as well as the artRAVE. Go out, get some fresh air. Later you may realize this isn't as bad as you're making it out to be. My opinion: it wasn't my favorite. I'm not going to lie. I know she took on the rock star route, but her vocals are so pretty and I didn't hear that because it was almost like she had to tell over the track to be heard? Like it was too loud for her. I dislike J&D in general so I obviously wasn't a fan if it live, but it was a good song for the atmosphere of the festival. It was difficult to watch Swine without feeling sick to my stomach, but that was the point of the message and I really appreciate Gaga doing that without being afraid of being torn apart for it. I'm happy she had fun on stage again :)
manyswagger 0
I have been WAITING for a performance like this for a LONG time. I haven't been so enthralled and perplexed by a performance from her since her showcases at V fest etc back in...08/09???. I haven't seen anyone mention the fact that this b---h once staged offing herself on live television at the height of her hype as a new pop artist. Guess what. She just strengthed, deepend and completed her role as a pop icon with this perfomance - completely dividing her fanbase which she vowed and declared to do with this album. She just put herself on a spit roast at a festival, had a girl throw up on her, and splattered herself in matter that physcially made me wanna gag. She is extremely sophisticated in how she mixes it up as a pop artist from festival to festival, performance to performance, appearing as both someone out of control and difficult to comprehend and magnificent in the artifice she creates around and about herself - exposing fame/being a popstar for how it truly is. She hasn't neccesarily changed her game - and this performance wasn't without it's pitfalls - but **** she finally entertained me again. She's hard to stomach and not for the faint hearted who want her to be what she never was. I'm baffled, excited, a little bit worried and hooked once more. Laceface 2,964
There's definitely a lot going on behind the scenes that we don't know about and this her therapeutic way of dealing with it, what ever helps her. The performance was designed to leave you stunned and people moan that nothing she does is shocking any more and now they are complaining. That is the art of it. The next show she will be clean cut. The art of transformation, the sides of her personality and a taste of her past. That said, the vocals or screaming were a big downfall minus MANiCURE, but it made sense with this 'theme of show'. Kinda didn't see the point of JnD, but I guess it was because Twista was invited down.. It has certainly distracted you all from the 3rd single announcement and BN/ACT II. Something definitely has happened with R Kelly though, even if she was always going to sweep DWUW under the carpet. Coop 15,315
Headlines in my country about Swine performance are something like this: Miley Cyrus got competition, Gaga moving borders of tackiness etc
Torsoface 3,262
I am right now watching the whole thing... This b---h is high as ****. Has she forgot how to sing or why those background vocals are so ****ing loud? And where is outfits and choreography? I am so ****ing tired for seeing her perform in black bra, sigh. And ANOTHER missed opportunity for G.u.y. Oh I'm on Dope now and she can still sing if she wants This show got a lot better after swine tbh Edited March 14, 2014 by Torsoface
Sister 9,907
I don't get the freak outs over this. She put on a show and I guess it wasn't a polished pop show performance?!! I guess perhaps she is over being a pop star?! I didn't hate it and it is alright. Whatever, I just hope that she takes care of herself and stays happy and with her friends. I must say that even though it was fun to try something new, I didn't love this version of Bad Romance, she put my song down last night. Fun show to watch anyways! The future's uncertain and the end is always near.
Fiendman 237
That was ****ing fantastic. There's nothing more to say about it. I wish every Gaga show was like this. I know artRave is going to be much cleaner and shinier and glitterier and all the rest, but this is the kind of Gaga show I would kill to be at. Small, intimate and ****ing rough. Beautiful and perfect. Aside from that odd version of Bad Romance, everything was awesome.
GagaMyBlood95 9,901
There are 3 recent topics about swine performance, and almost all the status are about it. Guess what, she did it again. lol exactly... And much much much more than just that!
Torsoface 3,262
"**** pop music" makes me sad, she shouldn't really say something like this even in the context etc. The thing wasn't as bad as some people are saying but it wasn't even stellar, she needs to focus more on her vocals and stop performing the bad songs! This version ofBad Romance was great though, and Applause and Gypsy too. I know right... No Venus, G.U.Y, DWUW or MJH, or her other hit singles She needs to stop performing JnD... And learn how to hit those notes in Aura
