I have to say, I've been watching reviews and I think fans are the only ones who hate it LOL.

All the reviews I've seen (even on sites when they ussually bash her) are good. :toofunny:

I actually didn't hate it... it was SXSW I dont know what people expected...a pop bubblegum princess? No. That being said...It came off as somewhat cringeworthy and 'try hard' at times...the weird screaming in bad romance was just ugh. The puke thing... Honestly, she coulda probably skipped SXSW and did a performance on Kimmel and been better but at least we got to see her...

I have watched the show until Swine so far. And for the first time EVER, Gaga has managed to shock me. The Swine performance was... I don't even know. I can't see people puking without feeling a little sick, so maybe that's why it got to me so much.

I understand why some people are saying this show was a 'mess' but I actually LOVED Aura and MANiCURE. Swine is one of my favourite songs and the iTunes Festival performance was perfect, but this one... it was too much even for me, and trust me, I don't ever wish for Gaga to be a pop princess, because I am not interested in that kind of thing.

I think it was cool for this kind of festival, but I still don't like this kind of attitude... if it is ok for this then great. I prefer the iTunes Fest attitude for the artRave. That being said, I think the puke was cool and its Gaga 100%. If the vocals were on point I think I would have love this.

Also, for the Applause comment, I honestly thought it sounded like sarcasm. Like a "I mean, I guess I'll play the biggest hit from my current album, alright alright". She was joking around and lighthearted sounding, to me. But some of you guys really thought through what it could've meant and they make sense so maybe there's more to it than what I'm seeing  but she looked like she had fun performing it tbh.

I think so as well.

The setlist, aesthetics and overall performance was amazing. The singing at times was leaning to bad or not singing at all, that thing can't go on

This is exactly what I think too. I think people are reading too much into it ;)

As for the vomiting, I think it fits in with the raw emotion of the song. What better way to express 'squealer, squealer, squeal out, you're so disgusting!!'!! However, I can appreciate that it's not everyone's cup of tea and could upset some people.

I loved the stage by the way, it was so Texas Chainsaw Massacre!

People are talking about it, so job done, I guess. ;)

Amazing performance for Swine.

I love how she completely destroyed Bad Romance :toofunny:

Her movements were awkward and the rock-star persona screams fake and is not entertaining.

Everything else was a borefest so nothing to comment about.

That's it.

I expected more from her vocals tbh  It's an okay performance after all. Still not sure how to feel about it but it's okay overall.

I honestly didn't enjoy the show, but it wasn't that bad. It was average to me.

The thing is, Gaga used to be a well-rounded entertainer, with perfect timing on stage for everything. It was always smart, entertaining with just enough shock value to keep you hooked. The thought process for her performances is very different from what it was during the Fame/Fame Monster days. The moment of "OH COOL!!!" lasts 2-3 minutes instead of the 15 seconds that it SHOULD last to keep you interested. When Aura started, I loved the whole roasting bit. By the time the chorus hit, I was bored. You know what I mean?

With TFM Gaga, there was always a happy medium between artistic, creative, shocking & being polished to still appeal to the masses. Whatever number of fans she is gaining with her recent performances is significantly less than what it once was, or could be. I do get that she wants to be herself, or free herself from restraints that are put on her in the industry, but why can't she do that looking great, with flawless make up and fabulous costumes? When she performed at the VMAs, it was a glimmer of hope that the real big production Gaga is back, but then it all went downhill. Also, I am SICK of the black bra/undies combo. Come on... there are OTHER colors in the world.

It's frustrating as a fan to watch something like this, because if it was put in better context, it would be GREAT. Previously, with a performance from Gaga, I'd go around spreading it around like a disease and having my head high that my favorite artist has just KICKED ASS on stage. These days, all I do is watch people post links instead and poking fun at her, and I have to defend her vision, even if I am not 100% convinced.

I guess at the end of the day, it is what it is. If I don't like it, it's my problem, not hers. However, for someone who preaches about her love for her fans, she should probably take a wider look on our perspective on things to try and make us happy. We are the ones buying her albums, singles, videos and merchandise and continue to support her.

Also, regarding the Applause comment, I think she meant because her time was up and she had to wrap things up. If it is what most are thinking, then she should realize that even with the stress of it all, Applause has been the highlight of ARTPOP so far (and will probably remain the highlight in the long run).
