Ascetic 0
I feel indifferent still but I hated when she smoked onstage so
Griffin 6
If she really is over ARTPOP, then I'll be super upset. As a fan and as a buyer I believed in her! I purchased the singles, the concert tickets and the album digitally, physically and on vinyl - and now she's going to tell me most of it came about as her label forced her? Come on! I'm not saying she said this, and I'm not frustrated yet. But it's beginning to look like she didn't intend to ARTPOP to be what we've heard. Anderson123 36,368
I've only watched a couple of the performances, there are so many messages and I like that she's doing what she wants, but it kind of looks like Avril Lavigne trying to "look punk or rebel". I mean, yes Gaga, if you're going to say "**** pop music", then record something that is not pop music, SHOW ME what else you can do. It may have been just a performance but, if what I saw at the end (When "They told them they had to play Applause" and throwing the ARTPOP letters into the ground) means that she's over this album, then I'm fine with it, bring on Act II or an even better album. And LOL at the meltdowns. Sensitive fans.

nathantj594 901
Here's my take: Her name is Lady GAGA, a woman who named herself that, you should know what you're signing up for. To say that she was disrespectful to the people who were there to see an "organized" performance. That is the most ridiculous thing I've read on this website. And I don't blindly love everything she does, I think JnD is the worst song put out in years. If you didn't like what she did tonight, cool. That's your opinion. But don't call it disrespectful. It's disrespectful for a "fan" to say that they lost some love for her tonight. That's cool too. She said it herself three years ago, almost to the day. "Some of you will betray me" and I'm glad you'll be gone. I'm not here for that negativity. What I have always loved about Gaga is that she has always pulled out the stops for a festival performance. This wasn't the Grammy stage, this wasn't a performance for the Queen of England. In these festival performances, everyone there is plastered. You'll find people ****ing in the grass out in the open. If Little Monsters are going to get this prudish over a festival performance, you need to go to google and look up some real sh*t and tell me what you see. Of course artRave will be more "polished" but who cares? If you're here for glitter and glam 24/7, don't become a fan of a lady named Gaga. And Paula Abdul ain’t got [BLEEP] on me! Judas Oyster 1,895
This is so true! I'm glad I'm not the only one who has thought this. I've been saying to people all along, (not on this forum because I'm new), that gagas rise and fall is planned from the very start and has always been about a certain stage of the pursuit of fame. She's telling a story throughout her a whole career and its always been about the fame. But only a rare few fans study the art and see the truth. :) I don't study those things. What are you saying then? That she has planned this for a new fame era soon to be reached? That she is gonna come back in fame? That she is doing this on purpose? brdn08 12
I loved it!! It's like the Fame Ball and the first leg of the Monster Ball mixed together. It actually looked like she was having fun!
Davidsonary 925
That was the best performance of Swine imo. Literal definition of performance art. Oh hello. What is this space down here? Where am I?
drbumblenut 48
I don't study those things. What are you saying then? That she has planned this for a new fame era soon to be reached? That she is gonna come back in fame? That she is doing this on purpose? I think he means that Lady Gaga was always planning for the Gaga star to fall, at least as far as keeping a shrewd eye on how the media would react to her ongoing performance art. It's all part of -- she says it's part of -- the overall performance piece of her fame. If that means another era of peak fame is in her future, I think that's up to bigger forces than her (media, public opinion) deciding it's time to root for her as an underdog or a misunderstood genius. The meta-ness of it would have to keep stacking up, and I think Gaga enjoys that aspect of it a lot. ChvVolk 2,003
I guess the shock value has always been there, but I think it's time she moved on. I'm not hating on her, just my opinion. I just didn't feel anything from this performance emotionally. Usually her performances touch me in some way. I think this was a very emotional performance She said "this song if about rape and rage" about swine The performance showed that The vomit could mean multiple things in the performance Vomiting from the "maybe I should have a little more just to stay out of my mind" Drinking too much because of it Maybe the vomiting was because being raped made her feel dirty Maybe it made her eating disorder worse "slap her skin, he love to watch her ass go wiggle" Maybe because it was the most disgusting thing she thought of to go with the "you're so disgusting" part Very strong performance in my eyes
Burger 307
WELL, on another note, PukeGa is sure to be an iconic Halloween/artRAVE costume this year.
Arcane 208
Although most of the show was not my thing (Don't come for me ), I appreciate the fact that Gaga's not afraid to step over the boundaries from pop into other genres. The puking scenes didn't disturb me much because hellooo, she's been voluntarily puked on before. I liked her Aura, Applause and Gypsy performances. Dope was touching and I still jammed to that crazy ass Swine performance. Love Trumps Hate
