That's not true, just because the venue is small doesn't mean it has to be a basic performance. Have you not seen Gaga at the Ikea parking lot? :usrs:

basic =/= boring

Once again, a more "stripped down performance" will be what fits the atmosphere and the general vibe of the festival.

Of course, stripped down for Lady Gaga is not very stripped down, when compared to other artists. ;)  I'm sure those in attendance won't be bored. If you need all the bells and whistles, just skip watching the videos on this one!

Problem solved...or do you just need something to complain about? :)

You're the one complaining about my preferences tho. Just because I'm not here for yet another boring performance doesn't mean I'll complain. Now seeth.

Don't watch it. Problem solved.

She said "equal rights", not "female rights". And, I think pretty much everyone on the planet (besides you?) would regard that as the subject of the song "Born This Way", yes (if not necessarily the whole album).

You're 100% right. I'll take my L for reading that wrong.

Still stand by ARTPOP comments though.

Austinities: Does it seem correct to you that in order to compete for any of the Missions to get into the show as a local you MUST have a wristband? It seems the only way to get in without the wrist band is to win the Doritos national contest where they are offering to fly the one winner in as the VIP-which seems unlikely to be won by an Austinite.

This show just seemed to appear out of nowhere! I am beyond excited tbh

I guess Gaga was really working on #Monsterstuff :fan:

When I read

"and the missions include jumping from a 30-foot high platform to grab a dangling #BoldStage ticket, busk on the street using instruments Doritos provides to earn $10 in 10 minutes or less, and go up against roller derby pros while wearing an inflatable sumo wrestler suit."

I thought it meant Gaga would be doing these "bold missions" for a promo for the event or something. :dead:

This is what it seems like to me from what I've read- but I have no idea if that's what it really is.  I've never been to SXSW before I don't have any idea about how these things work.

I'm trying not to be frustrated about the fact that I live in Austin and now have approximately zero chance of seeing her this time.  I understand it's the festival rules and not Gaga's, but I'm still a bit sad I won't be going.

Fishnet Sinner; I've always had that frustration with SXSW. If you're local and don't have a ton of money to throw around, you can't see/do a lot during South By.  Austin is expensive and even having a good job I barely breach the poverty level, ain't no way I can afford a wrist band.

And that extra fun money I had went to Gaga tickets in July...
