I know for sure she's banned from Best Dance/Electronic song (all pop girls are) cuz they feel its unfair that the edm artists that arent famous wont stand a chance against her. But idk if its the same for Best Dance/electronic album. I think its unfair cuz they should be judging based on the quality of the music not who's famous and who isn't. And also i dont get how Beyonce and JT can be allowed into the R&B categories then Yeah, there seems to be some peculiar inconsistancies with their rulings. Like Ed Sheeran being nominated for best new artist after he was nominated the previous year for best new song or whatever. There are rules about that, and it seemed unfair. JT and Bey are NOT R&B. So silly. I see where they are coming from, but if it's DANCE music, it should be eligible. I know a lot of EDM artists tend to be lesser known, but the committee or academy or whomever, should be allowed to decide which is better, based solely on musicality. What if Gaga made a straight edm album? Would that album be eligible? Oh well, but it is too bad. I don't know if ARTPOP has enough steam to win in any major pop categories come next February.
