TimisaMonster 31,073
It wasn't meant for many to get... True, but then why release it? Stream my new single, 💜"Heartbeat"💜, on Spotify!
WorkBeep 0
Dope is amazing. People dislike how she sounds but I feel like it adds to the song and how the song is suppose to come across. I can see why some people may dislike it because they cannot relate to it. But for somebody who can relate like myself, think it is amazing
Deandra 0
I always thought the "you" in Dope was her fans/fame/music/everything. She'd rather have us over d--gs. I loved I Wanna Be With You but I love Dope more. Her vocals are so raw and you can really hear her pain at the beginning. Hearing it live is going to be an experience I won't forget, I know it
Immortal 222
I hate Dope. Her annoying voice and that bass... I still prefer I Wanna Be With You.
HeavyMetalLuvah 0
Because people (um.... Monsters) just love to hold weird grudges against Gaga... She said it would be an album that could be played from start to end at a club, and here comes Dope. I find it funny how everyone raves about a song like Speechless, while Dope, on the other hand, gets this weird treatment. But to me, it's a ballad that isn't in any way less enjoyable than Speechless. It's just not on the widely acclaimed Fame Monster record... That may be an explanation... This Dope is amazing. AURA 2,890
Seriously one of her best songs.
calmar 22,055
I'm like the other people here in that I prefer high-energy songs over slower songs, and that I can't identify with d--g addiction. However, I will admit that her vocals are incredible in Dope and given the right mood it's a good song. Generally, I don't tend to seek it out to listen to, and when listening to the album I'll skip it (along with Gypsy a lot of the time). 俺の勝利は揺るぎない
Sugarfall 3,723
1. ARTPOP is otherwise a fun and fast album, it ruins the mood. 2. Not everyone can relate to d--gs. 3. The singing style, the crying, crackly voice is terrible. 4. The song is overly slow and boring. 5. It is my least favorite of Gaga so far from any album. I Wanna Be With U was bad too tho, because it is so cheesy.

VforVendetta 2,024
A masterpiece tbh. It touches me everytime.
NewYorkCity 10,536
It is a beautiful song. Amazing how it feels like shes singning to you in your ear But I skip it when I listen to the full album, it breaks the feeling of party and hapiness of the full album

Boo, I'm sorry because it probably seems like I'm seeking out posts of yours to criticize, but I've run into two in a row randomly that rub me the wrong way. I appreciate that you want to defend Gaga, but you can't label every criticism of her as a "weird grudge" or "selfish" or "whiny". Honestly, the people making these criticisms 90% of the time just want to see her live up to her potential. The two posts I ran into seem like you feel there is this strange conspiracy where people are trying to bring her down for no reason. Actually listen to what people are saying before you start spouting conspiracies. Speaking personally, me hating Dope has nothing to do with which album it's on, and it's ridiculous that you'd try and assert that. My problem with it is that I feel like it's so try-hard. She wanted it to seem natural and raw, and that desire made it unnatural and fake, in my opinion. She's never sung in that fashion before this song. The slurred words, the cracking voice, the off-pitch notes... we've heard her sing enough ballads to know that this is not what she naturally sounds like. The fact that it's being presented as this raw confessional when she's using this unnatural singing style in an attempt to evoke emotion... I just don't get it. DriverMonster 10
I love it! Her voice is so weird and crazy and I can really feel the emotion. Then again, I also love Fashion! and everyone else seems to hate that one.
Bad 32
But why do yall prefer I wanna be with u I dont get it either I actually don't prefer IWBWU If either song had to be on the album, I'm glad she chose Dope. IWBWU is too cheesy for me.

I wish that every criticism came with arguments in posts like the one you've just written What I'm against is the unfair and pointless Gaga-bashing we're going through atm. I have absolutely nothing against people having opinions, just against people bashing Gaga just because they're frustrated now, but will throw themselves at her feet as soon as she's gonna announce something. These people have no word.
