  1. 1. Do you think it's offensive and defiles the grave?

The fact that there's a Earth Cam on his grave :fail:

Lmao that was what I first noticed.

People are used to decorate, visit and take pictures with celebrities graves, and considering that ARTPOP was inspired by him makes it a fanart. So in my opinion it's normal, he was an artist and Im almost sure he wouldn't give a f.

Well she did keep talking about how much he inspired the album. It's one more item dedicated to his grave about how he still inspires people to this day.

That's how I understood it as well

It's kinda weird, but I don't think it's disrespectful. People leave all kinds of popular culture mementos on his grave.

His continuing impact tbh.

He would have absolutely loved her, just like Debbie Harry was a massive darling of Warhol.

They didn't spray paint "buy Applause on iTunes" on his headstone, they just placed a record inspired by Andy's philosophies on his grave. Why are people so scared to insult worm food?

I went to Walt Whitman's mausoleum the other day and someone had left a collection of poems by Patti Smith leaning against it. It's the same thing.

I always leave little offerings when I visit the dead, it's not disrespectful.

Exactly.

Some people are acting beyond ridiculous and pompous.

I'm sure he'd feel it were quite a good piece to be honest.

Have you ever seen or read about any of his films? http://www.warholstars.org/filmch/filmchro.html

He made many longitudinal films, focusing on single subjects or activities. Little happens, forcing the viewer to minutiae observations and reflections.

Warhol had plenty of protégés, and I'm sure he would be pleased by this piece.
