  1. 1. Do you think it's offensive and defiles the grave?

wow :toofunny: I guess as long as it's done in a spirit of tribute, since ARTPOP obviously is a tribute to Warhol and would've never been created without him, it doesn't really "defile" his grave per se, it seems so unnecessary but if it's done with a good intention, okay. If it was done with promo purposes though, I don't even know what to say about that. Wonder what Warhol would've thought of it...

Why is there a live cam on his grave?

It's so creepy.

Pink flamingos always fascinated me.

How is that disrespectful? People left cans there and everything but a CD is disrespectful?

It's not like they wrote it on his grave smh

It's not disrespectful at all. It's just the copy of an album placed on the grave. It can be removed anytime by the caretakers if they deem fit. It's not like somebody also placed a large poster saying "BUY ARTPOP" or something.

Besides, everybody knows ARTPOP (and basically most of Gaga's career) was inspired by Andy Warhol, so it's not like somebody randomly picked something to place there.

I mean, they could've placed Prism there for example, but that would've been inappropriate. :later:

It's really not disrespectful. It's not damaging in any way and the album was heavily inspired by him. I think if anything it's just showing how his work still lives on today in art that's being created. I see it more of a thank you/tribute than anything. Saying it's wrong is implying it's like a piece of trash or was put there to be disrespectful. I kind of think it's rather beautiful and a great way to show how one's life can mean more than just the present by how our impact today can effect the future.

Normally, I'd assume that it was meant as a gift for his spirit or something. Now, to me, that's pointless, but it's still the opposite of disrespectful.

But knowing that there's a camera aimed at his grave 24/7 (which I didn't know until now) could put it in a different light. Did the person who put it there know that? Was it a Little Monster's misguided attempt at promo? I don't know. But I'm still inclined to think that the person who put it there was just thinking "He would've liked this."

I think this is such a lovely thing to do. It shows that his work continues to live on years on and the fact that people are still heavily inspired by his concepts and works. I also think Andy would have loved her
