Sort of a commentary on what happened when DWUW ended up selling a ton of copies. They shot down her vision/flow of Venus for money. Just thinking out loud... Gaga in Heart Castle, Venus plays, shes the goddess of love, everyone celebrates and worships her... until she falls from the sky -- the business men see the rain of money and her beauty and immediately want to capture her and make her their prize possession.. Shes become human now -- G.U.Y. plays.. but in the end who cares, as long as Venus is part of this video! But really how she didnt call it a music video, i believe we are not getting a 3rd single from this at all... we will be lucky to have G.U.Y or Venus or Aura or ARTPOP feature in this video at all. Honestly, gaga worries me with this whole "id rather just keep some songs for myself" kinda thing... :( i mean i get it, and i know i might feel the same in the right situation, but at the same time I think just being able to share music with fans and not care about how well its "commercially received" is important. The legal work is part of it too... If Gaga wants to secretly leak music and not officially release it so that we can hear it, thats fine with me too :3 I guess i'm just selfish and want more of Gaga's music, but isnt that an integral part of why im her fan? because I love her music? Hearst Castle is entirely based on roman+greek mythology, it's definitely going to be a theme throughout the video. The Icarus myth is so fitting because it's about following advices or rather underminding restrictions, and Gaga particularly said at SXSW how she hates being told what (not) to do. Argh, I have so many possible storylines going on in my head. Whatever it ends up being, this pic makes me so happy. I was scared they would only use the castle and rely too much on the set, so I'm glad there's a darker twist and more sets. I highly doubt it would fit in the timeframe/story of just one song. Most of the video is gonna be set at Hearst Castle, so either this is the very last frame leading to something else to be unveiled later, or it's like a 15min installment of multiple songs, Venus/G.U.Y and Aura were the top 3 right? G.U.Y. is basically about power. What if it's about a renegade GodessGa leaving her paradize land (Hearst Castle)? For some reason, if there's an Icarus themed fall on earth, I really see it set to the bridge of G.U.Y. With most of the song leading to her decision to escape, "I'm gonna wear the tie, want the power to leave you". Maybe she doesn't have any power and she's only submissive in her god land? Then she takes flight at the start of the bridge, "As summer moons come into full phase" implying that the conditions for her move are met. She reaches higher and higher as the bridge ends "Don't be shy, I'm in charge like a G.U.Y.". Then things turn to **** and she falls towards earth as she screams in german, counting off time until she crashes face down. Venus could go either before or after that, but it would fit with the Hearst Castle better, so before. Maybe it's about a human entering the land of gods? She seduces a god by channeling her inner Venus/goddess of love, wondering if it could actually be love. Then as G.U.Y. starts, she discovers she doesn't have enough power in her relationship and flees the land. Then when she's back on earth, Aura starts as she sets her life back up. She "kills" her former self who only wanted to elevate herself with the company of the powerful gods... "You ought to pity me cause there's always one man to love. But in the bedroom the size of him's more than enough." Or maybe, it starts with G.U.Y., she's a goddess who lives the perfect life but someone tries to get rid of her by making her believe she could fly like Icarus. She falls on earth, plans her revenge and kills her former naive self (Aura). She finds a way to go back to her god land, disguises herself as Venus and seduces everyone in order to reach their leader. There she gets revenge by letting the whole universe break loose on those who wronged her (cue Venus' bridge). Argh, I don't know. I'm truly excited about this. From this picture, it really validates the theme of the goddess fallen from grace, but it's Gaga, you know she's gonna surprise us.
