No, it's ridiculous to blame Gaga for an industry decline. Overall, album sales suffered an 8.4% decline in 2013, dipping to 289.4 million units from nearly 316 million units in 2012 The Universal Music Group, which Intercope is a part of, came in first with 38.9% of albums sold. So the problem isn't Gaga. The problem is declining sales from year to year as streaming services become more popular. For the first time in the decade since Apple's iTunes store started selling downloads, both digital track and album sales are under pressure. I'm in Austin but I had no idea about any of it until I saw this, so I'll be keeping my ear open now! If you guys hear anything, you should come let us Austinites know!! She draws a younger energetic crowd whereas people coming out to see Springsteen are a bit older and more calm and orderly. Even if people don't know her music or don't like her, they'll still be into her if she performs here. She'd be the buzz of the town.
