Hellspont 1,468
Just got back from seeing DOFP, the best Superhero film I have ever seen. Not only did it focus on story and characters better than anything before it, it managed to bring this franchise to a new high and fixing every mistake that was made before it. ryhanna 3,507
Just got back from seeing it. It was pretty good, really. To be totally honest, I wasn't blown away or anything, but it was good. First Class remains my favourite film though. The focus on the characters was great, and the jumping back and forth between present and past was pretty effective. It rectified some mistakes that have been made, too, which is great. I think the best thing about this film is that it's almost a reboot without being a reboot at all, if that makes sense. It really allows for a clean slate and opens up a lot of possibilities for future films. There's really no constraints. Those cameos at the end! Kelsey Grammar as Beast, Jean Grey, Cyclops, Rogue…

Addy Ezzie 2
I've seen it on Wednesday. It was brilliant ! I didn't expect to love it so much, but I did. Very very good movie, much better than First Class tbh. I loved the cameos at the end, it was a nice surprise ! All the actors were good, especially Peter Dinklage, JLaw and Fassbender. Although the end got me like and . I got confused but I guess it's normal, hopefully X-Men Apocalypse will make everything clear. I hate not understanding things. Because basically, it means that most of the things happening in the first trilogy didn't happen, right ? I mean, Jean and Scott are supposed to be dead but here they are. I don't get it. And Wolverine was captured by Mystique in the 1970s (at the end): does that mean he still has his bone claws in the present ? Did the adamantium episode really happen then ? In reply to your spoiler Q: That's the whole point, it's a completely clean slate, they can do a new Wolvie origins story in the next movie set in the 80s as a B-story, or have Magneto give him metal claws, or keep his bone claws, etc. Everyone has a chance for new stories now so we don't know what will happen
Yves 1,891
I like the suspense of the movie. One of the best X-Men movies of all time. I also was close to peeing but I can't leave the theater because I might miss some action. I did the right thing.

I didn't think about another origins story, that might be great ! I was just upset because I'm a huge fan of the first two movies, so knowing that they basically never happened is weird. But I love the idea of an entire new past, it's very interesting !

MonsterMarty 96
X-Men mades $36 million domestically yesterday including $8.1M from 10pm-12am showings Thursday night (estimates, actuals will be available later today) so it's on track to top $110M over the long weekend. International tallies might take a little longer to come in for yesterday/Thursday night.
Hexxx 2,244
i think it would be good to do a tv series like they did with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D Lady Gaga/ Madonna/Lana /Azealia Banks/ Jazmine Sullivan/ DEEE-LITE/ Moko

ryhanna 3,507
i think it would be good to do a tv series like they did with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D Actually, I agree. Not like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D though, but like a miniseries on HBO or something where they can have a relatively large budget and creative freedom. An X-Men series would be pretty great if not restricted to a 2 hour movie slot. Anyone else disappointed though that Emma Frost is dead? I mean, they went to the effort of literally changing the past and allowing for Scott and Jean, etc. to return, but decide to kill another major character offscreen? Weird.
